Amanda G (us) wrote: This was not a bad movie. In fact I rather liked the spin they put on the classic fairtale. BUT this movie was extremely long (3hrs.) and the plot did not progress quickly by any means making it seem even longer than it already was.
Maryam T (fr) wrote: I don't like movies such as this. But, Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan actually do make a good pair. The music is awesome. I love the songs. And I guess I kind of recommend it if you like action movies.

Cole L (jp) wrote: Peter Segal's "Tommy Boy" is basically the definition of slapstick comedy with a comedic god as its main star, Chris Farley. We are introduced to Tommy Callahan III (Chris Farley) as he is graduating college, after a long seven years of screwing around. Tommy's dad, "Big Tom" Callahan (Brian Deheny) sends his right hand man Richard (David Spade) to pick up Tommy, who missed his flight home. Right from the beginning Tommy is presented to the audience as both stupid and endearing; after seven years of college he passes with a D+; "You know a lot of people go to college for seven years," Tommy says; "I know; they're called doctors," Richard replies. Banter like this not only illustrates Tommy's stupidity, but because Richard is so condescending it makes the audience like Tommy even more. When Tommy and Richard get home, everyone is happy to see Tommy and no one cares that Richard is back; which not only reinforces our opinions of Tommy and Richard, but provides Chris Farley with several opportunities to show his comedic genius. As Tommy thrives on all the attention, Richard doesn't seem to care that no one wants him there. After Big Tom dies everyone at Callahan Auto is in a panic and doesn't know what to do after Big Tom dies. Tommy and Beverly (Tommy's new step mom played by Bo Derek) become the new majority stock holders and after a slight dilemma with the bank, Tommy gives up his stock in the company and his house in order to keep the company alive. Suddenly Tommy has become the only hope for Callahan Auto. One can't help but feel a connection to Tommy as he travels across the country to try and save his father's company and the jobs of thousands, while destroying Richard's car along the way. Chris Farley and David Spade work very well together and there is never a dull moment with them. They go on to make Black Sheep (another hilarious film) and continue their hysterical friendship until Chris Farley died of a drug overdose. There are hints of comedic genius throughout the whole movie that cause you to almost automatically quote it. Whether its "fat guy in a little coat", "shut up Richard" or even "I could get a good look at a T-bone steak by sticking my head up a bull's ass but I would rather take the butcher's word for it" you can't go wrong with Tommy Boy.Tommy Boy has some strong language in it and is probably more suitable for adults and teenagers rather than kids even though anyone would laugh at the fat, idiotic Tommy that we all love. The only bad side to this movie is the special effects are pretty terrible, more specifically the deer in the car. This is a film that I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a good laugh

Tico P (gb) wrote: I remember renting this years ago when the title was "Incubus". The second the opening credits said it starred Ernest Borgnine I hit the eject button. Ernest was nominated for a Rasberry award for this one. Thanks to late night cable I patiently sat through this odd little film and realized it wasn't as bad as I expected. A simple story of a widow terrorrized by an Amish like comunity. They are called the Hittites and make the Amish tame in comparison. The cast is also very strange. Directed by Wes Craven (when he was good) also starring Lisa Hartman (Falcon Crest), a very young and rookie actress named Sharon Stone and the bald weirdo from "The Hills have eyes" . Basically its a whodunnit slasher film, typical of its time. Body count 7: 1. man run over by tractor 2. man stabbed then hung by rope 3. Man stabbed in car 4. Woman lit on fire in car Ooops, 3 more deaths to go and I'm giving it all away. I'll leave the rest for you to find out, but who cares anyway. A period film with bad acting, poor lighting, mediocre editing and a story with bigger plot holes than my current bank account. In a nice scene a girl in a bath tub spreads her legs and a huge snake emerges and attacks her. A real spider crawls into Sharon Stone's mouth as well. The ending climax is so cheesy I was laughing out loud. Still it's a fun movie if your into this kind of low budget nostalgic kind of stuff. I guess Wes made this because he had bills to pay.

Richard D (gb) wrote: A bit of an underrated classic. It has a dedicated fan base, but it never seems to be mentioned in the company of other late 70's horror classics like "Dawn of the Dead" or "Phantasm". It's perhaps not quite as good as those films. In particular, I don't think Zalman King is quite up to the task here. In all the films I've seen him in, he registers exactly one emotion: scowly brooding. In films where he's a villain, it kind of works. Here it has a tendency to drag the film down a bit.

Emma S (es) wrote: ''Freedom Writers''The themes in the story are gangs, fighting, and disrespect. The teacher tried to encourage the students to practice write. Also, they need to understand how to their feel and respect. The number one is respect because if they are respecting each other, they will become peaceful! In this movie, three things that happen were..... Erin was excited because Erin becomes new teacher this school. Not on the first day of school, Erin saw the students seem disrespect each other. They were awful. She was very upset, but she did try to be positive to support them. The teachers wanted to the students do write about life with their bad history, and what happen. After the students are done with writing, then the teacher read with the student's story. She was shocking. She taught teaching for only freshman and sophomore year. The students were angry because they wanted Erin for more two years for honor class. She decided to tell the principal, and then they discussed. She left and arrived at the park. Her information to the students is excited to hope Erin can teach them again. Erin said,'' No''. And she fooled them. The students are very happy.I like this movie because I love to watch true story. This movie talked about the teacher went to the students do write about life their bad history, what happened. The student's story was very sad. After I was sad and thinking, I realized it's important that part of the game called the line game with questions. Because of that help to people will more to know their feelings and respect too.
