Steve H (kr) wrote: A poignant, slightly meandering and stagey character study with winning performances from Amy Ryan, John Ortiz and director Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Diana L (kr) wrote: Insane. Amazing, well-acted, disturbing, and insane.

Matt M (gb) wrote: Sloppy romantic tale of the love triangle between King Arthur, Lady Guinevere and Sir Lancelot. Easily forgettable, starring heart throb Richard Gere. The alternative take on the Camelot tales coul have been interesting, but the end product is as forgettable and irrelevant as they come.

Cynthia S (br) wrote: A poorly written and executed film, based on a heartbreaking, harrowing tale, is still a poorly written and executed film. The boxing scenes are actually this bomb's saving grace. Aside from that, "Triumph" is a term that's about as far from proplerly describing this as possible. Considering the powerful nature of the story, that seems hard to believe, but, behold! Here's the first film of which I am aware that does a total disservice to the plight of Jewish people during the Holocaust. Bad production values, and trite portrayals of both Germans and Jews make this move uninteresting.

Sarah F (kr) wrote: All the ingredients of Glida without coming off as an imitation, pretty impressive. While I wouldn't say its has quite the flare of Gilda, I would say it has more tension and suspense. Glenn Ford is at his indignant, self-righteous, cutie pie best and Rita Hayworth is well Rita Hayworth and that's pretty damn good.

Kevin R (br) wrote: This is not reality.A horror writer has gone missing and his publisher has reached out to an insurance private investigator, John Trent, in hopes of discovering what happened to the writer. The writer has a cult following of sorts that places his work on par with religion. Can the investigator sort through the mystique of the writer and discover what happened to him?"When does fiction become religion?"John Carpenter, director of Halloween, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Vampires, Escape from LA, Escape from New York, They Live, The Fog, and Christine, delivers In the Mouth of Madness. The storyline for this picture is interesting but a bit disappointing and ends in an unfulfilling manner. The acting is solid and the cast includes Sam Neill, John Glover, Peter Jason, Frances Bay, David Warner, and Jurgen Prochnow. "I know what I am."I remembered seeing this in theatres as a kid, and again on cable, and never really liking this film. I watched this again off HBOGO and was still as disappointed as the first time I watched it. This is very average, much like Carpenter's Village of the Damned. This is really only worth viewing if you're a horror genre junkie; and even then, it's borderline."He sees you."Grade: C
