I like their theme of insisting they didn't need a social commentary "point" to make jokes, but then why were half the jokes about Israel?Really though, if you're going to compare apples to apples, this one was fairly rotten, because the South Park movie was 100x better.

(it) wrote: Ollie (Ben Affleck): Come on, Dad. Don't you wanna live alone again? Bart (George Carlin): Not as much as I don't wanna die alone. I watched this movie again....yes, again and voluntarily, and I'm not ashamed to admit it but I still liked it. Like I stated before, this movie was really charming (and its additionally cool because it has a snippet of Sweeney Todd). The little girl (Raquel Castro) was perfect and adorable without being too overly cutesy. Not the best performance from Mr. Affleck and Jennifer Lopez was mildly tolerable (only because she ***SPOILERS*** died so early on in the film), but Liv Tyler was great and she's fast becoming one of my favorite actresses and George Carlin was nothing short of brilliant! He was the best part of the whole film, next to little Gertie (Raquel Castro). Even Will Smith's little cameo was kind of cute. Honestly, this may not be Kevin Smith's best film but it still remains one of my favorites among his work. (Yes, shocking I know), but I really do like it.

The food looks great, Jacqueline Bisset looks even better, the European locations are stunning, and the whole movie is a wonderful hybrid of mystery and comedy. It's an awful lot of fun and has sadly fallen under the radar. This is one movie that need to be rediscovered. It's great fun!
(br) wrote: This is a comedy western movie but it is a different one because there is not much fight or gunfight in it. This is very sympathetic movie also funny in some scenes. Our hero is a new yorker guy that steals women money with charming them. He comes to west city but he doesn't like the west and the guns, horses and etc. People in this city thinks he is a hired famous gunman, he uses this identity. This is the general subject of the movie. Acting is good for a comedy movie, there is also romance and this is a plus for this one. I liked this movie and enjoyed when watching but if you look for a classic movie don't look at this one. I watched this one at a Sunday morning.
(mx) wrote: Dreyer's final film is all about what people are saying and not at all about what they are doing. What they are saying is all about love and the way that it comes and goes in life. What they are doing is sitting or standing relatively motionless, staring off into space, uttering words as if in a dream. Huge tectonic slabs of plot shift in fell swoops as we move from one long take to another. A movie to ponder.
