Tayyab R (it) wrote: There was an idea of building a stagnated 'present' time, there was a machinery to take it forward and give it direction. But it appeared that the machine was turned off the entire time, thus defeating the purpose of having it in the first place. Leaving behind an overly elaborated stagnated idea, feigning to spark with the promise of larger-than-life and yet proving no heavier than empty words. The narrations have been good as long as Woody Allen has been doing it all these years but seeing Jason Biggs all stiff and in a place far away from his American-Pie-themed comfort zone, it actually appeared that the amateur actor was subjected to an on-stage torture. Woody Allen films are known for their cynicism, yet also have a purpose (Annie Hall anyone?) - something that totally excuses their lack of flow and patches of stagnated and stretched scenes in the end; rather, almost making them worthwhile and somewhat required. Anything Else, while clearly being no exception to that very lack of tempo, signed its own death warrant as it also lacked having any real purpose or a substantial message in the end. Furthermore, perhaps its safe to commit that Woody Allen films always have this flavor to them. Some might call it a brand label, that seal of originality even; others might call it too stale to be even kept in the fridge anymore.

Ryan K (de) wrote: This movie was okay, Overall the story was good and I liked the Characters. But the screenplay was not impressive, especially since they had poor acting to carry it out. The only person who I was remotely impressed with was James Earl Jones. The acting, especially from the kid, was absolutely horrendous.

Carlos M (ru) wrote: A cheap excuse for an obvious rehash that, despite gorgeous visuals, has no vitality, intensity or a personality of its own - and its lame hero is even obfuscated by the sexy villain played by Eva Green, who we end up rooting for to slaughter every single Greek in that place.

Richard S (ru) wrote: This is a touching and hilarious story about modern relationships that sticks with you. Ben Kutchin's cinematography uses the weather to pull you into the lives of five loosely connected people in some of the most profound ways. The way the cast is revealed is as powerful as the solid and unpretentious acting. Don't be surprised if this straight forward story leaves you speechless.
