SrishTi N (gb) wrote: the film has an natural wanting to know more but after a point it just seemed to get a lil sl0w. i wish fo the film maker to have the story a lil mo crispy. whteva said and done it ws worth a watch! it did give me an insight to the streets of the city and most importantly its majority of the people.teh film seemed very documenatry like and does help u feel sorry towards the protagonist.
Richard C (au) wrote: You could be forgiven for calling this film misogynistic, but Neil LaBute's cruel but darkly comic feature is an interesting character study of the ways in which ordinary people prey upon the vulnerable and attempt to exploit them for no personal gain but primary redemption. Aaron Eckhart's character of Chad must surely go down as one of the most sleazy characters to appear in cinema whilst Stacy Edwards is utterly brilliant and enormously sympathetic as the deaf victim of the lead characters' plan in a picture which is cleverly written and thoroughly intriguing considering the unpredictability that the film so cleverly orchestrates.
Brian S (jp) wrote: A good enough movie, fans will love this one for it's gore and comedic scares. The acting is pretty good and, personally, i got the feeling that this movie makes a reference to Peter Jackson's Braindead (1992), through it's special effects. Anyways, it's no masterpiece and the plot is a little absurd, but I still recommend it !!

Private U (es) wrote: haha I agree with the other reviewer -- it's a low budget kind of funny.

Justin N (de) wrote: Though hard not to watch through a modern lens and with criticism of how primitive (and often silly) many things are you can't miss how this movie has influenced so many things since. Not something I'd recommend for someone looking for a "great movie" but if you appreciate watching things in the context of their time you can appreciate what it was trying to do.
Chilli H (ca) wrote: Zombie films are all the same these days, so it was nice to see that the directors are trying a new take on it. Not a bad film - same questionable acting, & unnecessary makeup. The ending was abrupt but amusing.
Kyle M (gb) wrote: The genuine classic from the film industry groundbreaker and thrills gatherer Spielberg may be frightening on the big screen, but not too much on the small screen with a scene to make you jump. Solid script nicely delivered and cleverly filmed while still thrilling - probably more upon revisiting it - that proved effective by the fine techniques, but it's gruesomely violent.
