Hardcore Henry

Henry, a newly resurrected cyborg who must save his wife/creator from the clutches of a psychotic tyrant with telekinetic powers, AKAN, and his army of mercenaries. Fighting alongside Henry is Jimmy, who is Henry's only hope to make it through the day. Hardcore takes place over the course of one day, in Moscow, Russia.

Hardcore Henry is an action film told from a first person perspective: You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name's Akan; he's a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy. He may be on your side, but you aren't sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You're likely going to need it... . Campbell P (kr) wrote: Election is about a school election for student council that goes way too seriously. The story is pretty fun and has very quirky elements to it that made it more fun to watch. Tracy is confident she'll win since she's all by herself in the running until Paul comes into the picture and things start to get crazy. Reese Witherspoon is pretty good in this movie as Tracy. She's pretty, confident, and determined but the problem is that I found her to be kinda annoying in the end. Maybe it was just Mr Macalister proving that she was but it worked. Matthew Broderick was kinda irritating in this movie. He has everything and then decides to mess things up. I really don't feel for this guy at any point in the movie. He's a jerk and the way he turns out in the end just frustrates me because he didn't learn from any of his mistakes. The character I enjoyed the most was the ignorant doofus Paul. He made the movie really funny and he never turned out to be annoying. The setting and quirkiness of the movie made it funny and kept me interested. The ending to this film was okay but like I said it wasn't satisfactory. There's this good guy and he just throws his life away it just doesn't make sense to me! The romance between Tracy and Dave at the beginning was totally unnecessary and kinda disturbing but it made a good insult later on. Election was pretty funny, but it lacked in a fun factor despite some quirky editing. The cast starts to get on my nerves in the last act and the ending was disappointing. D+

Francisco S (es) wrote: This movie can be a little predictable, but his great cast and the original story are enough to forget that. Final Destination try to transmit the message that all of we have a destiny and can't escape to it, but this attempt to transmit the message is destroyed for is weak argument, because all of we know that the water won't follow a specific path on the floor escaping to the laws of physic. Interesting.

Robyn M (es) wrote: Surprisingly not bad or great... my expectations were low and I was pleasantly happy about the Scottish theme and great chemistry between Dempsey and Monaghan. However it's predictable ending reminded me of a regurjatated version of "My best friends Wedding" but reversal roles.
