Francesca G (ag) wrote: I use to like this when I was in high school, but now that I have re-watched it, it was just eh... The acting on the cheerleader's part, is just annoying! And I'm a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones, and I personally think he should have kept away from this movie. His talent is wasted on this chick flick. Disappointed :(

Daniel M (it) wrote: Although slightly more amusing than the average parody, The Starving Games is a horribly conceived comedy that does not deliver more than three or four smirks in its full run. "Starving" properly referring on the laughs.

James H (gb) wrote: There's no doubt this movie is iconic, from the soundtrack to Tom Cruises sun glasses but the actual substance is weak and at times cringe-worthy. The main character 'Maverick' is not likeable at all and actually acts like a cocky little boy for most of the film and the banter between the characters is weak. The airplane scenes are handled well, considering when this was filmed, but there really isn't much to cheer about here.
