Victor is a cook who works in a greasy bar/restaurant owned by his mother, Dolly. It's just the two of them, a waitress named Delores, and a heavy drinking regular, Leo. But things change when Callie, a beautiful college drop-out, shows up as a new waitress and steals Victor's heart. But Victor is too shy to do anything about it, and too self-consciously overweight to dream of winning Callie away.

BLACTACULAR (jp) wrote: This movie was bogus. Nothing mother sits through a trial and then forgets the face of the man who tortured her 6 year old. BOOOOO!!!!

Dane P (de) wrote: An incredibly mean spirited, depressing film. Showing nothing but animal cruelty, horrendous performances, overly pretentious symbolism. But I guess that was the intention. No doubt this was really artsy and well made. Its a unique film you won't like it though. It aint worth checking out. Even though I'm giving it a 6/10 Why? I don't know why... You don't have any feelings for this movie you're just neutral... Like the performances

GM W (br) wrote: Director, Paul Verhoeven (RoboCop, Total Recall) Brings us a viciously entertaining sci-fi action film, about killer mutant space bugs. very graphic and gross, but very action packed and awesome.

RS P (gb) wrote: A lesser-known movie; a sweet romance and coming-of-age story. Starring Sean Penn, Nic Cage, and Elizabeth McGovern in their youths. Written by Steve Kloves, who would later write the screenplays for "The Fabulous Baker Boys," "Wonder Boys," and the Harry Potter movies.

James H (es) wrote: This western is surprisingly goo. Light, amusing and very entertaining. The stars are great, particularly Gary Cooper, Loretta Young and in a supporting role, William Demarest. Dan Duryea is fine as well. Good writing.

Jason Z (jp) wrote: One of the most intense action movies of all time. Even it's own sequels can not come close to adding up to the greatness of this one.

David L (kr) wrote: I love this film - the best of the bunch if you ask me, for so many reasons. First and foremost, it's action packed from the start with the rescue attempt on Han Solo involving some great scenes with Jabba, the Rancor and the Saarlac Pit. We then have the emotional departure of our little green friend Yoda, coupled with the introduction of the furry Ewoks, and finally we have the ultimate battle of good against evil as the Emperor and Vaders attempt to turn Luke to the dark side draws to a dramatic conclusion. All the above plus more battles, more characters and more entertainment than I've ever been used to in one film. To think I was only a 1 year old when this was first released is amazing as the graphics, script and acting is far better than anything in modern day. It tests the limits of all emotions, with its tragic death scenes, joyous triumphs in battles, and continuous humour throughout, it literally has everything. It's possibly my favourite because all the previous films ask a lot of questions, whereas this one finally gives us all the answers in a well thought out completion of the jigsaw. I've watched this several times, and I do believe there are no loose ends, just a few cringeworthy moments knowing the few occasions when Luke and Leia kissed in previous episodes, and all along they were brother and sister - So as I was saying, this film does have everything, incest and all! On occasions I do still wish I could make alternative endings, one where Vader turns good again, or Boba Fett doesn't die so easily, but in truth, this is one movie franchise that just shouldn't ever be tampered with - Simply legendary.
