Doug P (br) wrote: This is a FANTASTIC movie, I was at the premier last night - everyone should tune in on Jan. 22 to see the truth about fracking and how - if allowed - it could do wonders for the nation. It's pretty obvious that Josh Fox's motivation in making "Gastown" and the resulting career has been nothing other than for promote himself and make money.

Philip W (ca) wrote: A coming of age indie film, The Kings of Summer is a very impactful, humorous piece centered around three boys who seek personal freedoms during their summer. While it stretches the boundaries on the realistic aspect of their situation, every other area of the film is phenomenal throughout. Between the solid young acting, beautiful setting, and brutal jokes from Nick Offerman, this film will leave you happy and largely satisfied, a very re-watchable piece.

Geddes S (ag) wrote: Apparently, this is one of those tales of the producers hijacking this film and didn't take the directors name off the film as requested by the DGA. I had talked the director for his side and he had a lot of stories that shocked me of how preposterous the producing was at all levels. I sense he is writing a book, but he said that he just can't relive this horrible experience for a while, wishing he'd simply passed on doing it. 12 days production, mostly "must hire actors" - and all under 130k...it's impressive.

Darren M (es) wrote: Review completed with 52 minutes left to run of this truely aweful movie. The hype surrounding the movie was that it was so extreme and brutal as to have made four original cast members leave the movie during early production. I think the truth is far more simple. They walked out because this movie is crap and they had a shred of respect left in their bones. For those that remained at the helm of this titanic horror until the end I hope you are truely ashamed of your work. The soundtrack is beyond hilarious the camera work is atrocious the sound in general is shocking the story and staged sequences are just unbelieveable and it ....SUCKS!

Terelon S (br) wrote: Illogical, truncated mess of a movie, subpar effects, Gene Hackman returned for what?, to collect a paycheck, watching Laci fly through the space with Nuclear Man without any protective gear tells you all you need to know about this movie. So much talent wasted in this movie. Shouldn't have been greenlighted. Absolutely abysmal.
