Mansoor A (us) wrote: Ok, this movie was dumb and stupid funny, but I must admit I laughed hard. All the jokes are silly, mostly PJs if you know what I am talking, but very unpredictable. You would not imagine that there could be such a silly answer to any normal question. Hansa, Praful and Jayshree will keep you entertained. I would like to be a part of this family on my most stressed out day.

Matt M (br) wrote: Two magicians, former friends and stage partners, come face to face at a magic tournament. Dull comedy with a few laughs but too little to prevent it from seeming like a mixture between an overlong episode of a sit com and an average formulaic comedy film.

Richard D (br) wrote: Seems I'm doomed to perpetually waver on this film. The last time I watched it, I was convinced that it was far better than I had previously thought it to be. Watching it again ... I'm not so sure. I think it's an undeniably good film, but it feels about half an hour too long. The half hour leading up to the climax is particularly painfully slow. I think the problem is that I never really buy the relationship between Mathilda and Leon in anything deeper than a superficial action film manner, so when the film tries to delve into that relationship for real emotional payoff, it loses me. Great action flick ... check. Great villain ... check (I have firmly decided that Gary Oldman's amazingly outsized performance is great) The rest ... no not so much.

Everett W (fr) wrote: Silly fun blaxploitation pic, Pam Grier is excellent in the title role, sure this is riddled with more plot holes than bullet holes in a dealers corpse but see it for what it is, a fun bit of grindhouse with a groovy soundtrack.

Leena L (es) wrote: Ken Loach. Have seen many of his films, mostly touching, brilliant and beautiful to watch. This, based on a true story, despite the slightly empty feeling in the end belongs to that group. One quote kept playing in my head during the film from a totally (ok, relatively) unrelated source which fits in this film and the lives of the people in it, mainly on the part that the church played in all that went on: "Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood." ? Frank McCourt.
