(ru) wrote: A new low for even Steven Seagal. The film was apparently originally shot as a sci-fi/horror film, but then later reshot and re-dubbed (without Seagal) to change it a story about an alien invasion to a story about a drug that make people invincible killers. But even given that, I'm still not sure a director's cut of the film would be all that much better.

(nl) wrote: I liked this a lot more than "The Wild Bunch," which almost everyone says is the better Peckinpah film, and maybe it was more groundbreaking at its time, but I think this is a much more enjoyable interesting film all around. Steve McQueen is great. The scenery of Prescott, AZ is beautiful. The filming is perfect. A new favorite.

It certainly gave me the willies as it wasn't your usual quiet quiet bang horror... It's also got quite a terrifying synth soundtrack which heightens the tension... I need to watch something light now before going bed!
