Hold Your Breath

Hold Your Breath

There is an old wives' tale that you should hold your breath when passing by a cemetery lest an evil spirit rejected by both heaven and hell gets inside of you when you inhale. Someone in a carload of college kids on holiday doesn't hold his/her breath when driving by a graveyard, allowing the spirit of a recently executed serial killer to get inside him/her to begin a spree of body-jumping carnage.

The movie follows seven young friends on a weekend camping trip find themselves being picked off one by one when one member of the group allows the spirit of a notorious serial killer to take possession of his body, and embark on a bloody rampage by refusing to abide by the urban myth that you can breathe in evil spirits when passing cemeteries. . Barbara H (jp) wrote: I liked it, but I have to admit that I thought it was a little bit cliche. The plot reminds of "Run Lola Run", and I guess it was on purpose since the main character has THE SAME name. haha. Still, I recommend this movie to everyone who likes some girl on girl action. And unlike most lesbian movies, this one does not have a tragic end.

Andrew H (us) wrote: A bit of a psychological and in some points philosophical western which is very dramatic and enjoyable. The story of a hired assassin coming into a town and the town's residence throwing themselves in panic and fear; each one believing they are the target and how certain ones react is excellent. The other good aspect of the film is the way that it is drawn out until the very end to find out who the actual victim is going to be. The ending itself is different, very interesting and does work with the film. The local Doctor is the only one who does not fear the killer and the conversations that they have are philosophical and very thought provoking. There is hardly any action within the film but there is enough drama and suspense to compensate for it. Audie Murphy is perfect in the role of John Gant, the killer, his style of acting of being emotionless and wooden is very suitable for the role. Charles Drake is also quite good as Doctor Canfield and the dialogue which both Gant and Canfield share is excellent. The supporting cast are also pretty good as the petrified citizens each of which displays very believable fear. Overall a very well written well thought out film which is both dramatic and thought provoking. It is also very well acted by both the principal actors and the supporting cast.

Lauren L (it) wrote: They completely ruined the story of 'Dracula' and for that I was very disappointed. HOWEVER- Marc Warren does some of the best character work I have seen in a long time. I love what he did with Dracula. SO! Hated the plot (and the casing of Sophia Myles- COME ON!) but Loved Marc's work.

James L (kr) wrote: Part 5 of this never ending saga, offers some of the best action sequences we've seen in any of the previous films. However, the storyline is just far too complicated and silly to make for anything more then a late night popcorn flick. At this point I just have to keep watching in hopes the next installment may be better then the first 5.

Gallagher G (jp) wrote: One of the worst films i've ever seen! Very poor production and acting of the same quality of a porn film. However, this film has no sex scenes to save it, therefore making it dire!
