Hollywood, je t'aime

Eric R (ca) wrote: A very strange, beautiful film by Hisayasu Sato. Like most of his films, its part of "Pink Cinema". Its about a woman who works for a club called "The Bedroom" where she is drugged nightly and men fulfill their sexual fantasies. Like most of Sato's films, one of the major themes is sexual perversion. The Bedroom is a very cool avant-garde style film that explores the sexual relationship which Voyuerism often creates. I really love the aesthetic of this film. Sato's use of color and camera work is great and really makes the film cinematic. Hisayasu Sato has quickly become one of the most interesting directors I know. Fucked up, but pretty brilliant.

Jack L (de) wrote: I haven't laughed this hard at a movie in a long time. Thank you, Dumbbells. Once again it never ceases to amaze me how critics can have it so wrong. This movie has a great ensemble cast with two likeable leads and lots of gorgeous girls. It also has a ton of heart. It reminded me of the some of the classic comedies from the 80s and 90s. There are some hilarious one-liners. It's kind of like Office Space in the gym. Big thumbs up from me!

Kevin D (br) wrote: this film actually got more good reviews that an actual film "Kid in King Arthur's Court" starring Daniel Craig and Kate Winslet. Should be good

Terry M (es) wrote: This movie is so predictable it's laughable - and not in a good way. The plot is stupid and the characters are almost stereotypes. Skip.

Keith P (fr) wrote: As seen on UniMs, I knew there was a good reason y I discovered this Nicolas Cage movie on a Spanish-language network.

Simon D (ru) wrote: I thoroughly enjoyed this and I didn't think I would. I'm not much into Romance, poetry, or Italian films but this was special. You really share the emotions with the postie and are 100% routing for the lad all the way through. It's a nice little story set in a beautiful part of the world with plenty of amusing moments thrown in.

Wes S (us) wrote: Not as good of a story as the first, and Bruce Campbell's character was killed off too fast. The film takes a different turn from the first, which ultimately is a lackluster. The characters are alright enough, and it still retains much of the same atmosphere, but it isn't as enjoyable as the first.

Tim D (ru) wrote: A fantastic bad movie. If watched in the right frame of mind you'll enjoy this more than you really should.

Daniel U (br) wrote: I expected this movie to have over the top gore with its reputation but to my surprise it wasn't bad at all. This is your typical horror/suspense film and I enjoyed it.

Bridget M (au) wrote: I was looking forward to it because I loved "Funny Girl" so much, but this doesn't measure up at all, oh well.

Joshua L (fr) wrote: The idea was cool, the movie not so much.

Jason S (it) wrote: it was an ok james bond movie wasn't the best however

Alex P (it) wrote: Somebody blacklisted Wesley Snipes somewhere along the line, and I say that stinks. "Unstoppable" is an effective and creative little genre thriller, cursed with a terrible fucking title. Snipes is solid, and Stuart Wilson (the baddie from "No Escape" and "Lethal Weapon 3") does good work as the crooked agent villain. All in all, if you're a Snipes fan, you could do a lot worse.

Geoffrey E (it) wrote: A humorous, against-type movie for Bruce Willis. Far too many remember him from Die Hard forgetting that he was a comedic star first in Moonlighting. This movie is a delightful blend of comedy and action. Some of the jokes are outdated today, but the humor still stands up for the most part.It is unfortunate that people wanted an action movie instead of an off the wall comedy that follows its own rules and does so without apology.
