Al S (gb) wrote: An excellent and spectacularly entertaining movie. It`s truly terrific to watch and dose not get boring for a minute and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It packs a pure power-punch of intensity that knocks you flat out with its explosive action, strong performances and brutal honesty. Movies don't get more real or more powerful than this. A masterpiece. Director, Jose Padilha crafts an stylish, dark and gripping police drama like no other. A groundbreaking achievement that earns it`s right to be called a classic. A heart-pounding action-packed thrill-ride that's loaded with pulse-pounding drama and thunderous gun-battles that take you to the limit. A total adrenaline-rush from start to finish. A hard-boiled and exhilarating piece of work that deserves attention. It shows that grim reality of gang-related violence, inner city and police politics that the necessary evil they need to achieve their objectives. The cast is extraordinary. Wagner Moura gives a powerful and sensational performance. I loved this movie. It rocks and rocks profoundly.

Alex C (ru) wrote: Apparently shot with a VHS-quality color-draining camera. The zombies appear to be wearing clown make-up... And I can't be the only person who noticed that camo-shirt guy has a complete change in personality (and accent) after his girlfriend comes back from the bathroom. This movie sucks. It ends with footage of an F-22 and a dove superimposed on each other and a "days later" epilogue that couldn't be more unneccessary.

Matthew B (ru) wrote: No talent, no effort, nothing redeemable about this movie. This is where the cleverness of Japanese Animation goes to die.

Ro D (es) wrote: I love Lars Von Trier the great cast, Bryce amazing, but isn't Dogville definetly is great but not an instant classic

Lee M (de) wrote: Johnny To favours atmosphere above plotting and though it looks tremendous it won't keep you on the edge of your seat.

Allix D (es) wrote: Its a good comedy that is looking at how Czechs cope after the collapse of the soviet state, The son who escaped to Australia visits his mum and his father who has a new girlfriend shows this clearly. The major underlining theme is immigration, which is nothing peculiar to the Czech Republic, This is a hot political debate all over Europe.

Grant H (nl) wrote: Great movie. The plot is pretty original (though slow), but what keeps this movie interesting and captivating, creating some incredible characters and lines, and giving us some incredible performances from its cast, especially Lemmon, Pacino, Baldwin and Arkin.

Jeremy P (fr) wrote: Very typical for a film of its genre in Hong Kong. Actually, fits perfectly into a sub-genre with A Better Tomorrow -- this came out first but it's the same kind of film, both mid-80s, very violent, strong themes of loyalty, though HKG has a strange absence of guns, and John Woo would naturally have made a better film. The action in this film is really good though. It's quite intense, and though it was good enough going into the last 10 minutes, that finale was incredible. Half the budget for blood for the entire Shaw Studios might have been used in the making of this film.

Joel A (fr) wrote: A strange low key drama that earned Jack Lemmon his first Oscar for actor in a lead role. Even though locations where few & hardly glamorous & the story travelled slow there where some interesting themes.Basically the disintegration of a typical American man who works in low end fashion. Filled with his fears & anxieties this isn't typical but interesting. Not sure why the film is called Save the Tiger however there is one scene where Lemmon pays a donation to a charity saving tigers but that's it, still a mystery.

peter h (jp) wrote: Funny this boring monster film had its plot line recycled by the screen wirter Charles B Girffin in one his later films " The Creature from the Hanted sea". Unlike that film i found this entire film long ,dull and uninteresting. The only good bit is seeing the monster which the only reason to ever sit through this film. 2/10
