Even beyond that I wasn't really feeling this fourth movie in the series. The gray spell seems to have sucked all the magic out of it. (First and only full viewing - Fall 2009)
Bill B (jp) wrote: This movie tells a largely wordless love story between a strange man who lives by breaking into houses and staying there while people are away and an abused housewife who instinctively falls into his lifestyle with him. It's a really sweet film and well worth a look.Recommended.

Johnny T (kr) wrote: One of Jackie Chan's best. A compelling mystery plot and some of the greatest action he's ever done. The rooftop fight is brilliant. Like Chan's movies it have a tendency to synthesise with time. Even ardent fans would have trouble recalling the finer details of each of his 70-odd works, or distinguishing the often throwaway plots which provide the thinnest of links between each signature skirmish. Though the CGI and special-effects were a bit over-blown we still get classic Jackie-style humour and great fight-scenes and some very nice action-scenes as well. Overall this is a good Chan movie - it has the same faults as all his movies do, but it's funny, has some good action scenes and ends with a really good conclusion. Well worth watching. That the film is able to bring up such interesting issues, all while awing us with graceful action sequences and making us laugh, makes Who Am I a very enjoyable experience. Chan fans shouldn't miss this one.VERDICT: "High-Quality Stuff" - [Positive Reaction] This is a rating to a movie I view as very entertaining and well made, and definitely worth paying the full price at a theatre to see or own on DVD. It is not perfect, but it is definitely excellent. (Films that are rated 3.5 or 4 stars)

SUGARFALL S (us) wrote: Before I make any other comment I need to say ICK!!!! With a capital ICK!!! I'd classify this movie as the SE7EN of its era. Friedkin isn't known for making delightful movies about candyland but Al Pacino has never been more raw, weird and menacing than he is in this eerie and visceral tale which takes place almost entirely in roughtrade stone holes in the wall swimming in leather-clad homosexuals permitted to do almost anything less than porn itself. Pacino's dogged search for a serial killer has the same effect on him as it does to the viewer and by the end of the dark journey we the spectators are almost prepared to throw a match to the gasoline-doused corners of the city in which these people thrive not because they are gay but because they are the scourge of the gay world. I wouldn't recommend watching the movie in the same way I don't recommend SE7EN...they both leave a terrible aftertaste. But if you like challenging yourself, this isn't the worst way to go simply because it is brilliantly done and goes for intimate low-gauge intensity that works on every level.
Timothy N (de) wrote: Great movie. Very entertaining, it kept me interested the entire time. It still holds up to todays standards, so I can only imagine how shocking this movie was in its time. A family is on a perfectly timed fishing vacation when a series of nuclear bombs go off leaving their home (LA) in ruins, and if that??s not enough, the looters and other panicked survivors of LA all threaten this family??s safety, but not if the kick-ass dad can help it!
Rameshwar N (mx) wrote: One great thing about this movie is, it introduced me to Roxy Music. Now that everything great about this movie is already discussed, it is an honest attempt of a movie about an aging alcoholic superstar, who gets nostalgic about his home but some questions unanswered from his past. Overly sentimental, roxy music's If There is Something is the only respite in this film which is otherwise quite a bore.
