Richard D (it) wrote: A short and simple movie/story about giving help to someone that needs it with hope for a positive result.

Yannick D (ca) wrote: Passion, love, loss and grief. The Broken Circle Breakdown is a film which is beautiful, meaningful and absolutely riveting in a multitude of ways, with a beating musical heart at its core.

Mloy X (br) wrote: Jerry (Woody Allen): I see New York. I see Vienna Opera House. I see Paris. Phyllis (Judy Davis): All in the shower? Jerry (Woody Allen): Yes. They love it that he sings in the shower. They identify. You know, he's going to be the most popular opera singer in the world. Phyllis (Judy Davis): Certainly the cleanest. This was one of the better Woody Allen films that I've seen recently. The ensemble had very good chemistry and their interaction felt very organic; everyone performed their part so believably. Although, I must point out that Woody Allen's acting was uncharacteristically drab, he's normally more entertaining in his films but in this one, his performance felt a little phoned in. The storylines were intertwined well enough (granted, still not as well put together as "Love Actually" but then again, what is?). Nonetheless, the stories were cute and clever, especially the Alec Baldwin / Jesse Eisenberg storyline which was conceptually brilliant and executed wonderfully. ***SPOILERS*** The idea isn't new but the way John re-lived his memories of Rome was cool. I really dug it and I really enjoyed watching this film.

Pavan R (ca) wrote: Just ok. Milking the franchise isn't helping and may gaping the lead of the previous movies makes it even worse

Abhishek U (mx) wrote: A bit slow though. Final scene takes it all.

Robert I (ca) wrote: More Disney wish fulfillment. What kid didn't dream of this happening to them? Plus, Miguel Ferrer being evil -- always a good thing.

Kenny N (kr) wrote: Come one come all to the meeting of two great masters of horror: Stephen King, the man who conjures up the most unspeakable horrors from the ordinary everyday things, and George A. Romero, who helped shape the modern scary movie. Together, they create one of the most frighteningly funny films ever made. Let us discuss the individual segments. In our first segment "Father's Day," you'll see a grand reunion with loved ones from beyond the grave. Next, we see "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill," with Stephen King himself in the title role of a down-on-the-farm goofball who might just cause the end of human civilization as we know it. After that, we've got "Something To Tide You Over," where a man with psychotic revenge on his mind learns that the mad and the macabre works BOTH ways. (Be sure to hold your breath during this one.) Then, something terrifying can be found in "The Crate." And whatever it is, it's very hungry. Finally, "They're Creeping Up On You," Mr. Upson Pratt. Your life of ruthless business dealings and contempt of the outside world might just lead you to a creepy, crawly end. A must see for any fan of King, Romero, horror, horror anthologies, or anyone looking for a good scare and a great time.

Brandon S (de) wrote: Extremely stylish film collaberation between Melville and Cocteau, the shots in this are breathtaking and the direction is top notch. The story is about a brother and sister duo that suffers the death of their mother and this is the beginning of thier strangely close relationship that results in incest and death. Very unique film probably had Cocteau's hands all over it and was a very early directing credit from Melville well before his gangster films.

Ville V (br) wrote: A definitive Burt classic. His walking style is just unbelievable, as is his name. In the end he walks (oh so suavely) away from the big bad guy's mansion and it just blows up, as did my mind.
