(au) wrote: Horrible acting, horrible writing, horrible characters, horrible movie. One of the worst films I have ever seen and you would think since Spike Lee directed it, it would be good. But nope, instead we get a shit movie, with shit characters we don't care about and as youtuber JeremyJahns once said: "Shit, shit, shiiiit!!".

Visualy it's superb with some great performances by washington, jovovich and dawson and a magnificent score, He got game is one of spike lee's best movies.

(au) wrote: Adding a little drama to the intentional western comedy tone, City Slickers is hilarious as well as inspirational and delivers a rock solid cast including Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern and Oscar winner Jack Palance.

(mx) wrote: Compared to the other Cronenberg fim I've seen recently (Shivers), this is a masterpiece, it's really just an interesting film. In the context of 80's US horrors, it's quite a weird one. Debbie Harry put's in the best film performance I've seen from her. The subject matter is a little concerning but the film doesn't go very far down the wrong route so it's alright. The story is a bit dumb, I think it's a cynical reflection on TV viewing habits and the dangers of watching disturbing stuff.

(ca) wrote: A damn (ho ho!) good flick. The way it builds to its triumphant climax -- a CLEAR influence on the Death Star assault in Star Wars, by the way -- is expertly done and riveting entertainment. Michael Redgrave, who was so wonderful in The Browning Version, submits a fine performance as the driven Dr. Willis, and the pilots are a team worth rooting for. Some of the special effects are laughable by today's standards, but the aviation sequences are gorgeous.

(ca) wrote: Like a lot of Astaire/ Rogers films, this one is glorious. I love the the cheesy use of psychoanalysis. Also, it must suck to be Ralph Bellamy. You lose the beautiful Ginger Rogers because you don't dance and don't know what foods induce dreams.
(es) wrote: Not often you see a well thought out Cat Fight ... nothing quite like seeing Ginger Rogers sticking a hat pin in someones bum. Funny, unexpected, adorable and an all around great movie!
(it) wrote: Tarantula is quite frightening and paces itself cleanly enough not to glorify its good special effects and focuses steadily on the progression of biological experimentation. Tarantula may not have the most memorable of characters but sure does pack a nostalgic punch.
(de) wrote: People are too critical for scary movies. This one it's not that scary but it is for it's concept. For scary movies I enjoyed this one. There are so many horrible scary movies out there... too many.... so if were talking odds this is a good scary movie. Maybe more suspense than scary but still The cast is A great bunch of people that I enjoy watching in a movie and the story is OK but the concept is terrifying. When it comes to scary movies if you're not that critical it turns out to be pretty damn good. Come on!!!!!! scary movies suck these days so this one is pretty darn good!!! And by the way people are dumb it's a movie not meant to be based on fact. It's a fucking movie. It's a fucking movie. Use your imagination dumbasses!!!! The dumbest thing someone can say in a review is this is far-fetched. Stop watching movies it's that simple!!!!!!!
(ru) wrote: It was a very neat little movie that made you Feel Good! It's a movie you could watch a second time. Matter of fact...I think I will.~
