David L (ag) wrote: Plenty of bravura, mainly from the young and dashingly handsome Pierre Niney, but half way through the movie one starts to lose interest as it plumbs the characters downhill into self-destruction and with each passing minute (and show) it becomes less about St. Laurent and more about, well, cameos from the ancillary characters (Lagerfeld, the brief & tumulous affair with his lover, Betty/Loulou and even Andy Warhol). Nor does one quite know how to make of Pierre Berge's influence in YSL's life.
