(de) wrote: Though it was tedious at times (but probably because I watched the director's cut) this was one of the best documentaries I've ever watched. It was not the average documentary about a genocide where academics and historians were speaking about the atrocities committed while old footage and pictures occasionally popped up. This film goes to the far-right Indonesian mass murderers themselves and told them to reenact the killings themselves on film in whatever genre they wanted, whether it was gangster/mafia films, or westerns, or even Bollywood musicals. It was quite bizarre combination, but it worked. Though the film was uneasy to watch at times, it kept you watching throughout and it showed the slow transformation of the mass murderers from the beginning to the end of the movie, especially in the last fifteen minutes of it. The scariest part in my opinion about this movie was not the brutal reenactments of the murders committed or the terrifying stories being told throughout but how human this film made the mass murderers out to be. Must watch.

Juxtaposed with the teachers in New York receiving a paycheck in "rubber rooms"; what a crime (thank goodness the reassignment centers have been closed).I feel a renewed interesting in pushing for better education everywhere. Working with kids from all walks of life, I never cease to be amazed at their intelligence, hope and potential. I hope we can create a better educational system in this country.

(ca) wrote: Not the greatest animated movie, but Ice Age offers an okay plot, with some humor here and there. But, the movie tries something new and does quite a good job using that idea.

(us) wrote: The Best Part of the film She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is the music and the locations. I think one thing this film lacks is the character development of the characters besides John Wayne and the women. The rest of the characters lack enough for me to care and invest in the characters. John Wayne's character retires in this film. The bar fight scene is made so cheesy. The other solders get hurt and fall too easily. It looks so staged it does not look believable at all.
