Robert H (fr) wrote: Evil Bong is pure low budget stoner fare with an evil twist. If you're into lots of campy dialogue, stereotypes out the wazoo and plenty of nudity and drug references and you'll be in heaven with this film.Full Moon fans will get a kick out of the multitude of cameos from the Full Moon hall of fame including Tim Thomerson, Bill Moseley, Phil Fondacaro, The Gingerdead Man, Ooga Booga and Jack Attack. My biggest complaint was not the poor acting, story, etc. or the multitude of camp found in the film instead it came from the terrible villain. As a concept, Eebee the evil bong works well and Michelle Mais does some good voice acting, but the creature FX were just terrible. Essentially just a molded piece that was painted, Eebee had very little to do. And when the bong finally started to "move" the range of motion was akin to a painting being pushed from behind the canvas trying to make it talk. I realise budgets are tight but a simple hand puppet similar to those old Boggles toys would have worked.I'd say this film probably works best in the stoner horror Full Moon fan crowd, but I'm not sure that's really a big enough group to warrant a film and the affection put into this film as a result, kinda shows Band didn't think so either.
Hawk (ag) wrote: On paper this movie should be a slam dunk, the concept of the chicken little story crossed with aliens, is a very creative concept. Sadly the film is too short for its own good and the invassion feels like it's over before it really ever begins. Despite this there are some great characters and it is a charming coming of age tale.

James H (us) wrote: Fair comedy, sometimes funny, usually only mildly so. It is a satire on the advertising business, specifically that of beer. Wants to kind of do to advertising what Network did to television, but hardly accomplishes that.

Orlok W (fr) wrote: There's LOTS of snappy dialog in this film, all of it involving Ann Sheriden, & much of it involving Dennis O'Keefe as Danny Leggett or Robert Keith as Inspector Ferris. There are very few Film Noirs with a female lead, & this is one of them. Sheriden does a terrific job as the wife of a man on the run from the police & the mob. Is Ann faithful or faithless? Where's her husband? Does she care? These are some of the questions raised in the film. Lots of shadows, much of it filmed at night... Another 'Killer B'--What a pleasure it is to come across an old suspense noir you've either forgotten about or never heard of and discover it's a solid and engrossing movie. The script is tight and the direction is more than efficient; it builds tension while encouraging us to become emotionally involved with the two leads. It uses little touches to let us get to know the characters... Love on the Run!!

Laurence B (us) wrote: It's fun and full of entertaining and eccentric characters, it maintains a good level of humour from start to finish but it has the potential to be much more funny.
