Brad S (kr) wrote: This one is from the writer/director of "The Raid" and also features the same star, and though it isn't as good as that one, it's definitely worth a watch. The cinematography is excellent as is the setting, you can tell the director has talent and I think he's only going to get better. This one is for martial arts fans for sure, give it a try!
Anthony I (mx) wrote: An interesting, ambitious and provocative project for an experimental filmmaker, but by the midpoint, I was exhausted by it. In sections, it's very fascinating, including the opening scene (first person POV), the montage of the past flashing before his eyes and the final scene depicting a POV of the conception of a baby (graphic sexuality). But in long sections, it's absolutely grating on your patients with horrible dialogue and even worse acting. I mean, really bad.. just monotone dreck. If this kind of slow, abstract filmmaking is for you, I guarantee you that this is your kind of movie. If not, stay very clear.

Eric B (ag) wrote: This isn't as good as other cave movies. the storyline was boring and rough at the beginning and the caves were too lit up. in real life caves would be real dark even with lights. I'm looking for a more realistic cave movie. I believe The Cave is better then this though i haven't seen it in a long time.

This movie was ahead of its time especially for the country it was based in. The message of this movie is a lot deeper than one may think and there is actually more than one message.

Wes S (mx) wrote: Slow and boring. The dinosaurs are silly looking, but at least they're not lizards. The characters are pretty generic and uninteresting, and there isn't enough dinosaur action. There's a few decent scenes, but nothing worth your time.

Philip W (fr) wrote: A coming of age indie film, The Kings of Summer is a very impactful, humorous piece centered around three boys who seek personal freedoms during their summer. While it stretches the boundaries on the realistic aspect of their situation, every other area of the film is phenomenal throughout. Between the solid young acting, beautiful setting, and brutal jokes from Nick Offerman, this film will leave you happy and largely satisfied, a very re-watchable piece.
