Allen C (gb) wrote: One of the best thrillers I've seen in a long time. Very intense. You get claustrophobic just watch him going through this ordeal of being trapped inside the box and interrogated for information.

Vivian W (nl) wrote: a very heavy flix, watch it when you feel like working your ears real hard

Peter S (br) wrote: Kang's follow up to his cult-classic original takes a more ethical standpoint and the altering of the original formula results in a more serious piece that scrapes the surface of a more sinister underbelly in Korean society. As a film however it falls short, not the worst crime with many sequels made unable to outdo their predecessor. The typecast of the corporate bad guy is hard to bed down and the "promotion" of the main character Kang Chul Jung from hardline cop to prosecutor removes much of the essence that made the original what it was. This is a solid enough sequel but those fans of the original will definitiely miss the politically incorrect profanity filled script and not to mention the gratuitious violence. Kang's directorial style remains constant and the cameos from existing characters adds a nice jolt of flavour to this.

Adrian M (kr) wrote: Ok film, some psycho girl funny moments that really tickled me. Not a great storyline but I didn't feel cheated watching it and it was pleasant enough.

Davey M (mx) wrote: It starts off with a bang (well, with a head-lopping, accompanied by zither), and ends in furious apocalyptic flames--and in between we get a lot of nastiness from Peter Cushing, who may well be the definitive cinematic Dr. Frankenstein. Still, the movie drags a bit between the memorable set pieces, and, while always smart and sophisticated, it's too rarely inspired. There are a handful of well-executed and memorable scenes, but, unfortunately, not enough of them to justify the running time.

Ian C (it) wrote: So many scumbag's in this. It felt like 'A Simple Plan' without the snow. It drags and is slow paced. Rockwell and William H. Macy are great but the ending is fairly wank.

Wesley V (fr) wrote: This movie does what it's supposed to. It entertains.

Waleed A (ru) wrote: I didn't give it a half star because it had some good directing, style, tone. But in reality I really hated this movie because it makes zero sense and is terrible. "everyone interprets it differently"-kind of BS. based entirely in symbolism and metaphors. (1 viewing)
