(es) wrote: So this is an action movie but the action isn't all that great. Gun play is pretty well done but when it comes to hand to hand martial arts it's very wooden and slow with long pauses, similar to old 80s/90s action but less over the top so more boring. Story is very predictable and acting is only so-so at best for all involved. Combine with a lot of reading sub titles unless you know Portuguese and overall not a very enjoyable watch.
(it) wrote: Great movie. It features beautiful direction from McQueen, an emotional story and powerful performances from its cast, especially Ejiofor, N'Yongo, Fassbender and Giamatti, but it moves slow in moments and lacks the feeling of the passing of time.
(it) wrote: This movie is wonderful. And reminds me of what type of man i want to be. One who follows his heart and has strong bonds on this earth. I loved this film despite the negative reviews. A great story about a brotherhood, friendship, and love. What's not to love. :)

(nl) wrote: The perfect time travel movie made....not an easy thing to accomplish...but Rian Johnson does it and it looks so good....powerful storytelling, stylish good old action and the visuals reminding of "Children of Men" is what makes this futuristic sci-fi , an excellent movie........and the HEART this movie has...makes it a GREAT movie....Do watch it...you will be surprised....

(ca) wrote: It's almost always fun spending time with these two. They've each had a few misfires but for the most part Paul Rudd and Jason Segal are hilarious. This movie doesn't boast as many gut busting laughs as some of their other work but it's still great and has a lot of heart. Slappin' da bass still rocks.

(ca) wrote: I was all set to give this movie a 4 right up until the last 30 seconds...other than that I enjoyed it and Rowan Atkinson actually had a role that didn't make me want to scream.
(fr) wrote: Great, great documentary. Really goes indept into the atrocities Blacks suffered during slavery. I highly recomment this movie. It also touches on some of the issues that blacks face today. 5 stars.
(fr) wrote: Tim Robbins acting was amazing. I hated and pitied him at the same time. Good soundtrack, as well.
(br) wrote: Magnificent movie. Great music. I was shocked to hear Joan Osborne sing (beautifully) with these seasoned pros.
(jp) wrote: i liked this, but not sure why. i love films where scorching heat is actually more important than most of the characters. i love how extreme heat can make people react (or not react). the heatwave seems very appropriate as a mirror of the apathy of most characters. both 'cucaracha' scenes are actually really powerful, my favourites by far. also the annoying girl, i love how the director plays with the audience there. you just want her to die, or smack her in the face so she shuts up. and then the end comes and everything's a bit 'ooops, i feel horrible now'. great. still, too choral for me. i love choral films but here it sometimes felt it's just a collection of tiny stories, only linked together by the loneliness and sadness of their characters. all in all, i'm glad i watched it.
(au) wrote: A gentle and heart-rending comedy and drama. I loved the character development of Elling and his friend. This film had so much humanity, and eccentricity!
(fr) wrote: This movie is great. I don't understand how it's been skipped over thus far, but I highly recommend it to anyone that reads this review.

(us) wrote: While I rate this movie pretty low, don't think that I necessarily didn't like it! ZOMBI 3 is another one of those unhinged Italian horror movies that came out in the mid to late 80s.And it contains everything we've come to expect from those crazy Italian directors: bad acting, inconsistent dialogue, senseless plots, and unbelievable gore.
(gb) wrote: This is one of the very few movies that have affected me in life. I watched it in high school days and fell in love with it. I still remember the day I watched it on TV. My friend and I watched it separately and cried. The last scene broke my heart and I just lost it! Have not watched it after that but it has stuck with me over all these years. My most favorite movie of all time. The actors and the director have done a great job. Knowing that it's based on true events makes it even more touching. My prayers are with the Jackson family members wherever they are.
