One morning just like any other in Madrid, two perfect strangers, Sara and Jaime, are just two more people standing on an underground platform. A man falls onto the tracks as the train pulls up. For everyone there, it´s a tragic accident. But not for Sara. Horrified, she believes she saw Jaime push the victim onto the tracks. She decides to blackmail the killer. The hunter and her prey become involved in a perverse and increasingly intimate relationship, at a distance.

(gb) wrote: The sheer size of the cast of characters may make things intimidating and confusing at first; but, as the story enfolds, director Altman creates a vivid picture of the lives of the people in the house, both upstairs and downstairs. The murder mystery doesn't even happen until more than halfway through the film, and even then, it takes a backseat to all the drama and gossip. If you're expecting thrills, you should look elsewhere. However, stay if you're fans of the distinguished cast and dramas full of multiple subplots.

(us) wrote: A charming documentary about the band Pulp with a strong focus on the fans, Sheffield's people and culture in particular. Leaves you wanting a bit more from about about the band in my opinion, but the portraits of the fans are cute and they do a great job of making the clips from the concert look dynamic and fun.

(es) wrote: one of those nice stories that has great characters and a great setting. it's funny that a film with two great actors failed to find a bigger audience besides the opinionated critics. They clearly missed the boat on this one. underrated and enjoyable film
(ag) wrote: One of John Wayne's finest performances, for sure. He's terrific as a leader of a cavalry regiment during his last few days of duty. We get to watch how he affects everyone under his command and under his watch in a variety of ways. Victor McLaglen provides good comic relief.
