I seriously have the biggest, most retarded grin on my face when Corey Feldman says in his deep, gravelly Edgar Frog voice, "Let's go kill some vampires."Honestly tho, if Feldman wasn't in this, I wouldn't care about this movie AT ALL.

(mx) wrote: Scorsese spent the end of the 80s and most of the 90s making big somewhat epic films, right at the end he made a much smaller film in which Nicholas Cage stars as a burnt out EMT in "Bringing Out The Dead." It is a well-made film that has an air of "Taxi Driver" to it. Granted, it isn't as good as "Taxi Driver", and I don't really care for Cage's narration, but this is a pretty good film on it's own. Scorsese and his long time editing collaborator Thelma Schoonmaker use a fast paced editing technique to help showcase Cage's increasingly erratic behavior, and it is pretty effective. Scorsese is in the film as a voice of one of the dispatch people (Queen Latifah is the other dispatcher), so that is pretty fun. Entertaining and smart film from Scorsese, but definitely a bit shy of being counted as one of of his best works.
