W James S (es) wrote: A very well acted, deigned and directed film that explores the disturbing and shocking story of women fighting for the right to vote in Edwardian England. It's hard to believe that women were treated in such a terrible way in the not so distant past. Our society is still morally corrupt when it comes to equality for women, blacks, hispanics and gays, not to mention the multitude of others in the world. The narrative of the script is somewhat melodramatic, but it still gets its point across.
