(fr) wrote: The scene where the wedding night (honeymoon) is recounted: "and there it was! He made a caca in the bed!" - I simply was not ready for that and went into hysterics and had to leave the theater until I could get myself back under control. George Segal is SUPERB in this film.
(ru) wrote: A typical British family is labelled as murderers after a guest dies at their dinner table and a scheming psychotherapist leaks the story to opportunist reporters. Sometimes witty and intelligent, though its style goes from being interesting to rather pretentious and tiring and the screenplay is unnecessarily hard to follow and watered down.
(mx) wrote: This is an alright movie. Going into this, I knew it was going to be a mildly enjoyable movie to not take too seriously. I commend the director and the crew that worked on this movie because it felt like a Nickelodeon production, other than the script. The story is very simplistic and a lot of the dialogue is a bit bland. But that can be forgiven due to the young age of the writer/director. The acting is alright and it manages to hold interest in the story until the end. Definitely worth the rent.

(fr) wrote: A do it all film that actually pulls it off. It's like Highlander meets The Matrix and a zombie film. Over the top and humorous, a fun movie to watch.
(it) wrote: This was a good movie about loving someone despite what others have to say about the relationship. It has it's moments of: racial humor. But all can be tolerated as this depicts a group of people amonst their own.
(kr) wrote: Awesome 80's revenge flick, though it's weird calling it 80's because it definitely feels 70's. Very gritty and slow and gripping. Mostly shot in Brooklyn. Really awesome locations. And the cinematography is very good for the most part. If you like Death Wish you've gotta see this. And if you like Fred Williamson and Robert Forester from Tarantino stuff (From Dusk til Dawn and Jackie Brown, respectively) definitely check them out here. They kick ass.
(kr) wrote: Two poor lovers try to spend a day together with what little money they have, desperately trying to hold out hope for their future, and for love itself, as the world throws barriers, bitterness, and cold weather their way. Has a dark undercurrent running through it, but an ultimately hopeful philosophy despite the ferocity that Kurosawa wields here.

(au) wrote: Another good Rathbone and Bruce Sherlock Holmes film. Strange goings on at a rest home for wounded and disturbed war heroes. Some good one liners as well and good support from the rest of the cast puts this as one of the best of the series
(ca) wrote: I adore Egoyan too much to give him less than 3 and starts! There are some shortcomings in the pace of this movie. The script appears to be well written and the cast does an OK job of bringing these characters to life, but there is something missing!
(br) wrote: It Maybe off at times and ignores some of the mysterious aspects but it's solid and brilliant. For having 3 box office bombs in one year and winning 3 razzies for worst actor 2003 was not the best year for Ben Affleck although I didn't think he was bad in this. Ben Affleck basically takes up after his buddy Matt Damon because his character in this is basically Jason Bourne. This would've made a brilliant tv show.
