Carlos D (es) wrote: this documentary might not be a gem,but what's in it,is what really matters: Bettie Page narrating her own story.Knowing the fact that she got some sort of royalties for her work before she passed away. And also,it is really good to know she did not die from her disease or all alone.Fun Facts that took me by surprise: Female character from Rocketeer is based entirely on her.and the 2005 film about her life was not a movie she actually enjoyed.great doc.

Daniel C (nl) wrote: A young girl running from her past arrives in Southport to start fresh.Of course, once she gets there she can't help but fall for local store owner and recently widowed Alex. There's the typical elements of a romance film there given the fact Alex has two children, one who is excited at the idea of a new 'mother figure' and the other a bit more resistant. All the while, we're left wondering about Katie's past though which ultimately does catch up with her - and perhaps not in the way we'd have originally thought. This was a nice inoffensive movie and even though I picked the ending, for me it was more a 'oh wow, I was right' rather than 'I knew it!'

Robbie N (au) wrote: Some funny laughs here and there, sure. But all in all it just falls flat on it's face. This movie is filled with flaws, and I definitely know I'm not the target demographic, but I've definitely seen similar, yet much better films than this.

Dave J (es) wrote: Monday, March 19, 2012 (2000) Divided We Fall (In Czechoslovakia with English subtitles) WAR/ SUSPENSE I have to say that the main idea is similar to other war films of that nature when they're people who rebel against Nazi laws by hiding Jewish people in secret basements/ compartments and so forth except that the main difference here is that there has never been a film (as far as I know) about how this particular Czech husband and his faithful wife risked hiding a Jewish person from execution and at the same time putting their own lives at risk. This is all fine and dandy except that the impact may have been stronger had it been based on fact since this is what people want to see happen which in most cases doesn't! The claustophobia effect works quite suspensfully with it's hand held camera movements centering alot of the times on the central star who was nearly caught several times as a result of hiding a Czechoslovakian Jewish person. Nominated for an Oscar for Best foreign film! 3 out of 4

Kevin M W (es) wrote: Sam Raimi is behind this and you get just that, full-on-Raimi. Much of it will not make much sense, but who cares, cause the action is over-the-top in capital letters. Its a comic book movie, but one of the good ones. Look for the helicopter sequence, its a good 'un. Frances McDormand, what's she doing in here, but she does alright too.

Greg W (gb) wrote: The Onion Field is a serious and most uncompromising movie. It lacks, however, the sort of disciplined craft that might have made it a powerful and affecting one.

Eric S (ru) wrote: Campy thriller that bears a certain resemblance to the 1986 remake of THE FLY, only in this case, we're talking snakes. Takes too long to get to the "good stuff".

Alex S (br) wrote: I can't believe this movie is even on here! I'm giving this movie a really low score, well for one, because it was just aweful lol, but mostly because I'm not sure what the director was trying to do with this movie. If I could get a commentary on it, I think I could see what he was going for. But right now, I have to assume that he's just an idiot and doesn't know how to make a movie. Ok...acting: god aweful. I mostly blame the directing, but terrible things are happening to people, and literally no emotions are shown. probably the directors intention, but it just comes off bad. poor choice. Terrible things are happening, but there's no screaming, no panicing, nothing. And besides the acting, I'm not sure where his ideas came from. A lot of the stuff in here is so random, and I don't understand why this guy thought some of it would be a good idea. This movie is almost too bad to be 'so bad that it's good'. And that's unfortunate. But there is a tiny bit of good comedy scattered around, and if you want to see the dad from Boy Meets World in one of his first roles, then you should check this out. Wait for the 'hands' scene. it's a winner!

Steve G (au) wrote: "Point Break" captures the thrill and intensity of a 1990's classic. The plot to "Point Break" is a young "Johnny Utah" portrayed by "Keanu Reeves" joins the "F.B.I." and takes on the new case of a group of 4 bank robbers named the "Ex-Presidents. "Utah's" co-worker "Angelo Pappas" portrayed by "Gary Busey" has a theory that the "Ex- Presidents" are surfers. Once knowing this "Utah" goes undercover to find out who the "Ex- Presidents" really are. The movie opens with "Utah" practicing his shooting while mixed with scenes of people surfing. This is a great opening to the film as it shows what the movie is about. Throughout the movie it shows "Utah" and "Pappas" busting big criminals. The action sequences are extremely entertaining to watch, they make it look like "Utah"" is truly about to get hurt. The film's climax is actually disappointing as it is unentertaining due to the unsatisfactory justice of the antagonist. "Keanu Reeves" isn't one of "Hollywood's" best actors; in fact he receives a lot of hate for this. It doesn't feel like "Keanu Reeves" is truly giving one hundred percent to his role as "Utah". "Reeves" gives the audience a calm performance instead of a strong and angry performance, as he should. In past "Mark Isham" has created thrilling and exciting music for his films and "Point Break" is no exception. The late "Donald Peterman" filmed "Point Break" exceptionally using no close ups or shaking the camera. If you are a person who enjoys 1990's Action movies then I recommend you watch "Point Break" as it has a great plot, thrilling scenes mixed with amazing music. Although the movie is not perfect it has some issues, these being an unentertaining climax, a weak performance from "Keanu Reeves" and a weak death. I give 1991's "Point Break" a 7.5/10.
