What might have been a dry subject was made surprisingly engaging and easy to follow.

My opinion is that Jacque Fresco is a crackpot with a lot of potentially brilliant ideas, if they were more than half thought out.A lot of it seems either incomplete, poorly conceived or pure common sense. Perhaps the relevancy of his ideals is that they existed prior to being common sense, but that point wasn't stressed in the film.As a documentary... average. Would have done a lot better if there was more exploration of the notions it seeds, rather than just a hit and miss diatribe by the subject. And what's with the people he's talking to? Looks like a bunch pulled from a night school for the elderly. It was nice to see Larry King with hair though.

(kr) wrote: A 'TOWN' YOU SHOULD VISIT.:: A movie review by Brett Epstein :::: Ben Affleck has found his new calling - he is a fantastic director. The atmosphere, the mood, the pacing - it's all there.:: He's matured so much as an actor. He presents a fully developed character we can care about. It's an interesting performance that gets better as the film goes along. He deserves major recognition.:: Astounding supporting turns from Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner - especially Renner. Here, he is so different than his Oscar-nominated portrayal from 'The Hurt Locker,' proving he's versatile. It is a harrowing, horrifying performance that truly gets under your skin.:: The same cannot be said for miscast Rebecca Hall. Hall is too quirky, too low-key for this role. She barely registers as a character, let alone someone Affleck would fall in love with. Her line readings are stiff and awkward. I loved her in 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' but unfortunately this doesn't show her talent.:: From start to finish, you are enveloped into the world of this movie. It's fast-paced, it's fun and most importantly it's EXCITING. You sit there and you're excited and you're invested. With some of the bullshit that's been released lately, this is quite a feat.If you haven't seen it yet, get there and enjoy.
