The thing that makes Blood Brother stand out is you're watching it and thinking it's going to be like so many other movies you've seen that highlight a cause but is just one long depressing spot light on what's wrong with the world. I've never seen such a genuine film that deals with the gritty stuff of life but still leaves you hopeful.

After watching the movie I didn't really understand why people liked it so much. The cast did perform well and it was nice to see Kajal Agarwal in a Tamil movie, but the plot is stupid. I expected more thrill, but the story ended in quite a typical way e.g. one guy kills all the villains and walks off.It also disturbed me that the movie started off like the main characters' love story was the most important theme and ended with the relationship being out of the picture. It just made no sense at all, because revenge seems to be the main theme of the story, but you get like 2 hours of romance first. It should have been love or revenge or both equally spread, but Naan Mahaan Alla failed to do so.

Lee N (gb) wrote: A fun, daft, monster movie. Above-average effects for this type of movie. Some good acting too ! The serpents looked really good, good HD transfer too. An enjoyable , but daft 90 minutes.

Matt M (br) wrote: This film about a revolutionarily feminist art history teacher at an all girl's college in 1953, teaching girls to dream and have greater goals than being a housewife is pretty much the feminist version of Dead Poets Society with the usual inspirational teacher formula, offering nothing new. The top cast is a draw, but the real treat is the stylish photography and nice melancholic music composed by Rachel Portman.

Mikko D (br) wrote: Bold and disturbed movie. Nice 1920's atmosphere and strong performance of Brooke Shields holds this movie. Otherwise the movie fails little bit as it stays on the same stage almost through the film.

Steve S (it) wrote: **1/2 (out of four) One of Robert Altman's earlier films find touches of his greatness, but it is also a hollow and less absorbing piece of work that we come to expect from him. Susannah York is a woman who lives in the isolated English countryside. Her life becomes more and more oppressive with the men in her life.

Jacques P (ru) wrote: Very well executed, yet there seems to be some sort of emotional levity lacking in a lot of scenes where it should be most prevalent.
