(ag) wrote: It was a very unique movie. The premise was interesting and I was laughing quite a bit at the beginning. The fight scenes were clever but very quick. Great cast of characters and actors.

Good stuff from Hema Malini (like Hema is ever bad) and Om Puri (as the voice of tradition), and I would walk through fire for Rani Mukherjee's smile. But overall . . . it is pretty nonsensical, and definitely would have benefited from someone going, "hey, wait a minute" during the production. Or before the production. (Like, "hey, wait a minute, these songs don't actually use a piano so maybe he shouldn't be sitting at one.") Or, for that matter, after the production. It has good intentions, but it could have been a very, very cool movie and it ends up totally schmaltzy and basically without charm.

(au) wrote: This film is a trainwreck of bad filmmaking and should be avoided at all costs. A phenomenally boring and uninteresting main lead who doesn't drive the narrative anyway. He merely wanders around and somehow all the mysteries are told to him, even though he doesn't react to anything going or told to him.And that might be tolerable if the film was actually interesting in the story it was telling. But it is not, it takes what (you eventually learn) could have been a dark story and makes you care so little about that you are just waiting for it to end so you never have to go back to it ever again. Also, the ending will make you want to punch the writer for being a bloody idiot.
(ca) wrote: A film worth watching about a group of New Yorkers whose lives unknowingly become intertwined. The individual stories of each of the characters makes the movie a slow one, but it is interesting and a little weird too, but I suppose that is more like real life in a way. I wouldn't watch it a second time.
