For me, it's a very interesting story right off the bat. I've often imagined what some outdoor cats are up to while prowling the night. Zoe lives a very lonely life. Her father was murdered and her mother is a very busy detective. Her mom spends most of her time trying to track down her husbands killer. Zoe seeks most of her comfort from her dear cat. One night she follows Dino and sees the slinky burglar for the first time. Zoe's night becomes more adventurous and dangerous while shes trying to get home. She overhears a pack of gangsters and is quickly discovered. It just so happens to be the same group and boss man that murdered her father. Nico and Dino bump into Zoe while she's on the run. Good thing for her or she wouldn't have any help on her side. A Cat in Paris is a very fast paced movie. It's currently instantly viewable on Netflix. It's only one hour and five minutes long... so definitely worth a view. The animation is very different and unique. I really enjoyed the fiestyness of Dino. Nico may be a burglar but he is a very gentle man and helps Zoe every step of the way. Not many French accents but I'm sure there are several people living in Paris who are not actually French. There's a great action scene on and through Notre Dame. There are lots of great images of Paris via the rooftop chases. There are lovely views of the Eiffel Tower as well. The music was so fitting and everything meshed perfectly. My mind is still trying to wrap around the amazingness of the graphics.

Created by the family it is documenting, there will naturally be some bias but also a depth that only insiders could bring. This is a great home movie/subculture documentary. And the decision to begin with Australia's history, I believe was an important one. It depicts hope where there could be none. Beliefs from brotherhood. And it begs the questions - What constitutes a gang? And what makes a family? Worth seeing, not to romanticise a tough life, but to understand.

Demasiado cruda para su tiempo y tambien algo tendenciosa. No obstante una muy buena pelicula.

Eduardo T (de) wrote: The screenplay has a great handle on intertwining the characters and their actions. A little bit into the film I had no idea what rating I was going to give it. It's a good thing I watched the whole thing. It literally picks up greatly by time. The last court room scenes where the best scenes in the film. the writing itself is really good. Great plot and story. Great plot build up as well. If brings all the characters together and masses their stories and struggles. The dialogue in this is so good you think you're reading a book while watching it. It's based off a book so I guess that's why. The acting was okay. Nothing really good and nothing really horrible. Topnotch directing. Good choice of scenery. It's so beautifully shot, everything looks almost perfect. Why can't communities like this exist in real life(except for the struggles the characters faced). The production values where ravishing. Was the houses real or stages? Great costume design too. If you like nice looking films but with heavy plot struggles then this is for you.

Jordan B (fr) wrote: Aubrey is great, Molly Shannon is great, but whoever wrote this doesn't know what a comedy is.
Luis G (us) wrote: It's okay. Not too funny but still entertaining. Didn't care much for most of the characters. Eva Mendes is acceptably ditzy, but Cher's role seems bland and rather unnecessary.
