Stephen G (de) wrote: Watched this docu last night --polemic but mirrors my own thoughts. basically, intellectual propoerty is an outmoded and obsolete legislative dinosaur which is restricting the development of human potential. In our cultural environment the appropriation and digestion of previous material is fundamental in the production of exciting and innovative new developments in all forms of art. This is a long standing problem but recent technological advancements have brought this absurdity to light and make evolution beyond it even more pertinent.
Daniel Z (gb) wrote: The beginning seems to have nothing to do with the plot but is made to introduce the different Masters of Martial Arts and show their fighting styles. Other than that Ip Man is a great movie showing actual Martial Arts and doing to much of an Rip Off what people imagine when hearing Martial Arts. So, if you like to see well choreographed fight scenes you have to watch the movie. Just don't expect it to be historical accurate at all times.

Lexi P (jp) wrote: It is a very cute movie. It is really funny when she dresses the cat up and then tells her "its rude not to answer when you are spoken to!" since some guy walking his dog asked how the cat was doing
victor l (au) wrote: 65/10. The movie would have been easily forgetable if Elizabeth Taylor hadn't starred it. Her Academy Award winning role of Gloria is sexy, complex and highly vulnerable, it's hard not paying attention to her despite the script is really bad and it is a crazy story. Eddie Fisher's appearance is unnecessary, Laurence Harvey was handsome but his performance was weak. Dina Merrill was wonderful as the elegant wife. It's a so-so movie, a little outdated nowadays but still watchable.
