Jeff B (ca) wrote: An underrated gem from the past decade directed by the Polish brothers. A wonderful and creative film about a soon to be flooded town and those that still remain in the area. The ensemble is excellent, I particularly loved Nick Nolte and Robin Sachs. Visually imaginative, excellent cinematography, a great score, and beautifully directed, Northfork may not be for everyone, but it's worth watching.

The two gorgeous leads are fabulous, especially John Paul Pitoc as the go go boy. By the end of the movie you are wanting these two walk into the sunset together......
Margarita S (us) wrote: Truly captures the brand of humour for which Italian movies are well known. Incredibly likeable characters and quirkly situations (oh, that vat of olive oil!). As lovely as the scenary is, there really isn't any plot. The film simply moves from one scene of revelry to the next. Although lacking in depth, it certainly delivers in humour.

There are so many memorable moments and the story of a country singers dream is told perfectly. An outstanding adventure told beautifully and one that will definitely stand out as one of his true classics.
Joe M (ru) wrote: Very good Italian gothic horror from Mario Bava. The scenes and cinematography are spectacular. Saw on Netflix which has a version that doesn't do justice to Bava's artistry. Would love to see from an original print.
Andrew J (it) wrote: It's Gary Cooper in the Foreign Legion; what more do you WANT? Oh, all right; it's also a rousing adventure story in the grand old style, with a theme of brotherhood running through the entire film. Look for Donald O'Connor's cameo.
