Jasmine's Enchanted Tales: Journey of a Princess

Jasmine is the daughter of the Sultan of Agrabah, and thus is a princess. Jasmine's mother is rarely mentioned, and she is presumed to be dead. In the first film, Jasmine has become frustrated with the duties of being a princess, and longs for a life outside of the palace. This clashes with the fact that, according to the law, Jasmine must marry before her next birthday, which results in a problem because Jasmine wishes to marry for love rather than for wealth, glory and power. Jasmine is an official member of the Disney Princess franchise.

Avid C (it) wrote: A well built movie with a slow build up of emotions and oppression. It is a delicate view of the Iranian oppression of its open-minded youth. You're almost feeling that you're looking at it sideways. A westerner will not be jolted, but will understand bit by bit, what it means to live in Iran, be young, and wanting more freedom.

Claire T (nl) wrote: ok film but I don't think I'll watch it again, it was a good animation and it starred Jane Horrocks who played Fairy Mary in the film and she's currently starring as Julie on the Sky One's Trollied

Guido S (ru) wrote: Like most people, from the previews, I expected this to be something like the Barbershop or Friday movies and just be a good urban comedy. Instead, it also tries to be a serious street crime flick. However, it doesn't do either right and fails miserably as a result. A package gets sent to the wrong address and eventually, someone has to get it back. A waste of a great cast, should have been so much better.

Pranav K (us) wrote: Hilarious performances by Akshay, Govinda, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav. Lara and Arbaaz were okay. Songs were not bad. The climax is your typical Priyadarshan hotchpotch, but all in all, a fun film.

Tashia J (jp) wrote: Great movie!!! I've had multiple showgasms...

Ahmed B (au) wrote: Terrible film. I don't normally guess films but I saw the end from the start which is horrible.

Jacob D (it) wrote: Up there in Tarantino's best movies.

Raymond L (gb) wrote: Classic classic classic! Another gem by Stephen Chow.

Jamie H (br) wrote: Steel magnolias is a deeply touching film that is also funny and witty.

Mayank A (au) wrote: Disappointment, being a fan of Studio Ghibli and having heard so much about the movie expected much more. The water color animation is gorgeous, specially considering it was made in 1988 but it was the confusing story where nothing much happens which was a let-down. Frankly it was boring.

Marina G (de) wrote: It's not the best film ever made but back in the day there was no better hybrid of soft porn, sci-fi, and absurdist camp. Additionally, it's not that bad of a film, seriously. Stephen Macht was young and handsome, Dorothy Stratten was not a great actress but, my god, she was beautiful and, if I remember correctly, she had an unbelievable screen presence. I watched "Star 80" earlier tonight, and it reminded me how much I loved "Galaxina". Maybe we were just deprived of so many choices back in the late 70's, early 80's, but I truly love this film.

Michael T (fr) wrote: MGM's gem of a musical, expertly directed by Vincente Minnelli with a beautiful sense of color and atmosphere. Judy Garland shines in one of the best roles of her career and gets the best songs: "The Trolley Song" gets the best showcase and was the film's biggest hit, but the enduring "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" has become the standard. A great ensemble cast is the icing on the cake.

Kurt B (fr) wrote: SFX from the 60's, make up from the 70's and a story that's timeless.
