Jamie R (it) wrote: An agonising low point for cinema as a whole. Barbarically painful to sit through and inept in every way one can think of when it comes to what goes into a film. A story that makes it up as it goes along, acting that manages to be both underplayed and over the top at the same time, visuals sickening to look at, wherever they found this sewage, please put it back. While forcing myself to stay seated i also wondered, who had thrown vomit at the screen, then i realised...

Stephen I (nl) wrote: While its plot indeed held promise, The Forger lacks the thrills its premise held, instead going with slow pacing and laughably bad dialogue.Full Review: Every once in a while, we get a movie so bland, boring, and forgettable it feels like one of the least productive ways to kill an hour and a half. The Forger does just this, with an uninspired script and lazy production that's probably a result of nobody really caring. The romance subplot is typical and predictable. The movie tries often to add flare to its boring continuity by throwing in a few engaging elements, but ultimately doing nothing with them. Ultimately, the movie is just a predictable, typical, and forgettable experience you won't miss one bit.

Dave J (es) wrote: Wednesday, October 3, 2012 (2004) The Prince And Me ROMANTIC DRAMA Pretentionus storyline intending to put viewers in a situation that couldn't be believed unless it was made into a film which is in some retrospects a fairy tale romance, about a young Prince of Denmark whose getting bored with his life but decides to check out one of the colleges in Wisconsin for the intention of meeting some crazy drunken party girls as a result of seeing some commercial. Upon going over their with his faithful 'checker' with orders to keep an eye on him, the prince decides to change his name to Eddie so that he won't be recognized. While there is where he meets the ambitious medical student Paige played by Julia Stiles whose not good at Shakespere but have to learn it if she wants to be accepted to medical school. Of course the rest of the film dwells on their relationship. Although Julia Stiles is a good actress this movie doesn't do anything for her since theirs plenty of moments which seem to be artificial almost to the point of it being pretentious such as the scene where some of the Denmark newpapers are able to find and locate him in Winsconsin college and viewers are kept in the dark about how they ever found out where he was as well as to the exact location. The movie focuses on Eddie the prince taking only two courses and by coincidence meets the only the Julia Stiles character out of perhaps hundreds of other teenage girls. The prince posing as average Eddie is almost restricted to only converse with only a few characters for the entire film as if the other characters don't exist unless needed to inhance the couples romantic convenience. And upon going to the college of Winsonsin, what're the prince's other creditials for we can only speculate, and how was it that he was able to be accepted to only take a couple of courses as opposed to taking more and different courses for the movie doesn't want to say, since I thought before anyone were to be accepted in any college must submit some kind of actual documentation about s/he education level, and the prince somehow became the exception to those rules. How come once he was revealed to be the prince to the entire college campus, why weren't other teenage girls also not trying for his affections and out of courtesy suddenly be restricted to just a single person and that is Eddie and Paige. At this point it seemed to be controlled and contained throughout the campus despite Julia not being the best looking girl in the campus. The Julia Stiles character even have female friends but even they wouldn't consider crossing that line to even attempt to get the prince's affections- they are too repectful for they're are close to being described as robotic and artificial and are all naturally courteus. It's made like this for the intention that everything have to be perfect. And Winsconsin newspapers are not excited about this new revelation about Eddie who is really a real life prince as well, I mean need I say more. 1/2 out of 4

They do it for kicks, and the result is a pretty decent comedy and huge byproduct of the 80's. There's blackface, the n-word, a hooker with a heart of gold, but most of all its Eddie Murphy at his prime. Its a bit long in the running time, but a very enjoyable 80's comedy.
