Lewis H (es) wrote: "Chernobyl diaries" has all the ingredients for a great horror film: a great premise, location and idea but it somehow manages to be one of the worst films I've ever seen. The acting is hammy and unnatural, the effects are unrealistic and the plot is hopelessly clich. This could've been a masterpiece of independent cinema if it was directed by someone who had any artistic integrity.Sometimes a film, like Halloween III, is so bad that its actually a tiny bit enjoyable but, "Chernobyl Diaries" has none of that appeal. If you are looking for a good horror film, I implore you to stay away from this movie at all costs.

Timothy M (ru) wrote: I had to suffer through a pan-and-scan version, which was not pleasant at all, but I think the film is well made enough for it to work, even if I've only seen half of it, technically. Or less. Bill Holden is excellent as usual, but a little too old for the role I think. Actually the whole ensemble is great, but Kim Novak is a dubious talent indeed. Acting-wise anyway. It's surprisingly frank for a Hollywood film about sexual anxiety in the 50s.

Jeffrey M (ag) wrote: Dated in some respects, yet excelling in others-When Harry Met Sally is still a resonating romantic comedy. It's a Woody Allen piece meets Linklater's "Before Sunrise" trilogy. The dialogue rich, the characterizations nuanced, and the interactions between Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan authentic and resonating. While it doesn't completely avoid all of the rom-com clichs, it does side step a lot of them, and certainly set the stage for some of the smarter romantic comedies that we remember. 3.5/5 Stars

Cameron F (ru) wrote: A woman resurrects her dead sister; the only rule is she must find true love in a month or sis will croak again. That's the funniest part; sis didn't die of a broken heart she chokes on a chicken ball so why does she need to find true love? Because, this movie must force some kind of reason for her to stay which validates the premise of this comedy is just dumb.

Jake P (gb) wrote: Bad 80's horror flick that tries to be like Halloween but fails. Stupid plot and bad acting make this forgettable. Only reason to watch is to see Jamie Lee Curtis continue her scream Queen movies.
