Sam B (it) wrote: I thought the doc as a whole was pretty amateurish and I was more fascinated by Harold Smith, the eye patch wearing and constantly changing face bandages art theft detective. Which is a shame since the story behind the documentary is so much more interesting.01.16.0911th Film of 2009

Chosen 7 (au) wrote: Surprisingly solid suspense-thriller filled with interesting twists, written and directed by Scott Reynolds. Good writing, very interesting subplots which compliment everything on the surface very well. Great cinematography. Good performances all around; especially by Radha Mitchell ["Pitch Black"], Josh Lucas ["Glory Road"], Barry Watson ["Boogeyman", which was a crappy movie by the way], and Kevin Anderson. Overall it's a very entertaining film and the ending is pretty good even though it was a bit unrealistic.
Sally A (gb) wrote: This is a very bare bones adaptation of Mansfield Park which is in fact a fairly complicated tale. This is light and fluffy and quite entertaining but it's not really Mansfield Park. Might be a good film for period drama enthusiasts (according to other reviews however, there are quite a few anachronisms) but not for Austen enthusiasts.

The Critic (it) wrote: John Woo's urban western misses the bullseye, delivering too many action sequences in slow motion and thereby emphasising the over-the-top nature of the material. Star Jean-Claude Van Damme provides an atrocious performance here, but Yancy Butler makes for a strong leading lady (given what she has to work with) and Lance Henriksen is fun as the villain of the piece. However, there aren't enough good features to make this rewarding.
Tom D (gb) wrote: This is a fun movie with the 3 lead characters all playing well off of each other. There are some funny moments and scenes scattered throughout the film. The script is an interesting look on minor league baseball life. I would recommend this movie.

Brandon S (br) wrote: This is one of those movies that's so bad its good. In a post apocalyptic, scifi world of 2017 Barb Wire(Pam Anderson) is a bad ass for hire. The story is largely borrowed from Casablanca, with Barb in place of Rick Blaine and her old flame Axel in place of Ilsa Lund. However this movie has more retinal scans and motorcycles with rocket launchers. Some of the action scenes are good. Some of the dialog is so bad I cant tell if its unintentional or parody. Toward the end there is a funny scene where the main bad guy becomes a complete, sadistic, tittering lunatic. I kind of like Chaiken's version of post apocalyptic America. Oh, and did I mention it has Pam Anderson.
