Jim H (br) wrote: The poster that is currently featured for this silly movie doesn't even have the right airplane on it. TWA 800 was a 747, which has four engines. Given that they can't get this right, small surprise that this cynical, paranoid film gets very little else right, either.

Valerie F (ru) wrote: Wonderfully done awesome movie. Jackie Chan was a great addition to this movie and added some light hearted moments to it as well.

Jesse L (nl) wrote: Horrendous. How is the beach still used when so many people have died? Bad script, acting and special effects...

Kathy D (ag) wrote: Very tragic film that deftly handles a serious subject despite frequently busting into elaborate song and dance numbers.... though what can beat Chaiyya Chaiyya and everyone headbanging on a train?

Vadim D (jp) wrote: Although there is plenty of camp and the story plays out like a Tennessee Williams southern soap, it's in fact not. Beautifully shot by an American master, John Huston, and developed in a unique yellow tint that gives the film a sense of surrealistic, dream-like quality, it offers some great performances (whether you think they are over the top or not) by Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, and Robert Forster. It definitely contains some bizarre and controversial subject matter, and leaves you wondering what it could have been if it wasn't for Hollywood censors of that time.
