Rameshwar N (fr) wrote: This may probably be the worst movie I have seen for sometime now. Only way to justify what transpired on screen could be the writer and director has gone mad, producer wanted to throw away some black money, all the technicians were conspiring against the unit and gave their worst. Riding on a star vehicle like Ram Charan Tej, son of Chiranjeevi who can have the best of everything the industry could offer, there can be no excuse for the kind of movie made here, except for one theory speculated earlier. An utter misuse of proven talent and in the time when the industry is waging a war against piracy, this one does not even deserve to be watched for free. Don't even get me started on the synopsis. Ignorance is bliss. There can be a few questions the makers might have to learn answers if they ever attempt/get to make another movie. 1. What is a script and its relevance in making a movie? 2. What are basic laws of Physics? 3. How not to write cringe worthy dialogue every time a character open their mouth? 4. What is continuity? 5. Do I know how to make a movie? Charan has immense talent as an actor and he should direct some towards choosing decent script too. There can be affection and admiration for his father, but should not rely too much on trying to pay a tribute in each and every movie. Tamanna has come a long way and she looks absolutely gorgeous here. I take it back on what I thought of her when she started. Also I was quite impressed with her moves in a dance sequence of the remade 'Vana Vana..' song. Never have seen a movie that has successfully forged the worst output of most departments be it action sequences, humor, character development, editing, background score.. you name it. I am sure you will skip it.

The hackneyed cold as ice-metaphore is one of the movie's greatest disadvantages, as is cinematographer Arthur Wong's overextensive use of tilted cameraangles and slow motion action, an attempt at stylishness that only feels contrived. On the plus side, Beyond Hypothermia features one of the last great heroic bloodshed endings ever, exquisitely dark and violent.

Pablo V (nl) wrote: A landmark in both Brazilian and independent cinema, Pixote is a heartwarming and poignant depiction of the inherant problem of street children in the dangerous streets of Brazil. This tale weaves seemlessly from the corrupt and deplorable adolecant penitentiaries to the lively beaches to the dingy slums taking the viewer on a realistic and captivating journey across the fragmented and topsy turvy world of Brazilian culture and society. Hector Babenco's visionary masterpeice incorperates gorgeous cinematography with inovative camera work to fully excentuate the well scouted and thought provoking settings he chooses to place his free willed characters. The acting is so sublime that it raises the fine line of reality and fiction in every scene and solidifies his intentions and message in an instantaneous fashion. Pixote is one of the most historically important films in world cinema and is a must see for anyone who desires depth and meaning in the films they see. Flawless in every capacity from start to finish, as close to perfect as you will ever see in a film.

Sterlin R (us) wrote: I used to love this movie, but now I lost interest in it due to the fact that Will Ferrell is just not my cup of tea anymore. I think his comedy routine is very stale, and the only movie I liked him in was Step Brothers because that was really funny. This movie had some moments that were kind of funny, but for the most part, I don't like it too much. But I kind of recommend it if you like Will Ferrell and Christmas movies.
