Jason T (jp) wrote: Snow piercer is a great science-fiction movie and a ride well worth taking. Excellent performances, plenty of action, and a thought-provoking story. The script is brimming with creativity and new surprises. It may not be perfect it's close) but it's definitely one of the better sci-fi movies I've seen this year.

shonna h (ag) wrote: Extremely thought provoking, though I did ge a strong sense that the director wanted me to perceive of Francesca's parents in a certain way. Definitely worth watching and talking about!

Raisul I (it) wrote: Regardless of the fact that the plot is severely predictable & some of the scenes look stupid due to bad execution, One can not hate when Sophia Myles is there.

Jessica B (ag) wrote: This movie contains both humor and love and the power t show you how life can change so quickly

Ben D (fr) wrote: A middling, but enjoyable, rom-com. Christian Slater is particurarly heart-throbbish, and the chemistry is there between him and Mary Stuart Masterson. It is a bit cliche ridden at times, but there are worse films you could watch with your partner.

Evan B (ru) wrote: This is the best of them all IMO. Better cornfield scenes, good bits of acting from Ryan Bollman and ok acting from Terence Knox (who was nominated for TOUR OF DUTY). It does some things, like turning th corn religion into something more Native American than Pseudo-Christian and tries to make a point of agriculture's importance but it just falls short. But some nice side boobage, kills, and adding onto the mythos is always a good thing and makes this easily my favorite.

Giffy G (jp) wrote: Although it is my least favorite Rock Hudson/Doris Day collaboration, it was a really cute movie. The commercials at the beginning were such a clever device, that I wish the movie had continued using them throughout. It had a convoluted plot--as one expects from RH/DD movies, but a lot of the thrill was taken out as they played a married couple. The movie definitely had its funny moments, and as with all RH/DD movies, the ending left me unfulfilled. Still, I'll probbaly watch it several more times, and just skip the ending.

Zachary N (de) wrote: Not as stylish or as pumped as Yojimbo, but it has loads more inner tact, more personal stake in morals, and - like every Kurosawa film I've seen so far - never boring, sometimes inspirational, always cool.

CJ C (jp) wrote: A classic, but gets tedious at times. Boxing bits don't seem to be very funny to me. And a mad invisible man is kinda scary.

Aj V (fr) wrote: This is a good movie. It's funny and sometimes sad too. The cast is good, and the story is nice. I enjoyed it.

David L (nl) wrote: It is definitely too sentimental at times and some scenes are overly extended, but Cavalcade is a delightful and passionate drama with some solid acting and with wonderful story of happiness, losses and victories through a lifetime told beautifully by a mother and a wife.

Blake B (jp) wrote: Pi is very reminiscent of David Lynch's filmmaking, and there is definitely an obvious story to tell deep within the film, but Aronofsky's pretension gets in the way of quality storytelling. It's as forgettable as it is annoying. A muddled, mathematical mess.

Ekene O (es) wrote: Grade C: As a NASCAR fan, I thought I was going to enjoy this film but instead I was very disappointed.

jay n (de) wrote: Strong performances from the leads, although Shirley's accent is reminiscent of Anne Bancroft who originated the role on Broadway and might have seemed more at home in the part. Well directed by Wise but if interpersonal dramas aren't your thing-steer clear of this.
