Benjamin F (us) wrote: With a grade "A" cast, the film tells a beautiful story around a boxer and a trainer. The ending is a bit controversial.

Aidan H (gb) wrote: Jan Sver's charming tale of a bachelor musician's relationship with a young Russian boy during the collapse of the communist regime in the Czech Republic is a playful and inspiring experience. Both lead performances are sublime and, like so many films from this part of the world, portray human polarity without moralisation or prejudice. Heartwarming and emotionally nourishing, Kolja's characters affirm mankind's intrinsically hopeful nature. A beautiful film that casts the gorgeous city of Prague and its inhabitants in a fine and golden light and one that had me weeping buckets by its finale. Recommended.

Michal J (mx) wrote: This is exactly the Tom Berenger we saw in Platoon, extremely talented and promising. This man needs a resurrection like Mickey Rourke got one with The Wrestler. "At Play" would not be worth seeing if it wasn't for Berenger in it. A strong, theatrical performance he should have received a lot more credit for. Plus, Daryl Hannah at the top of her form (at least the physical one!).

Sean C (mx) wrote: While I don't think this is the best of the series, it was a little different from the first three films. It seemed to be a little more methodical., that is until the end. I liked the flashback sequences always going black and white for a second. The final scene is great.

James H (ag) wrote: Terrific cast, Will Rogers does an excellent job in a typical laid back role for him. Very well written, short and to the point with a good moral. Interesting direction for John Ford.

Calvin R (it) wrote: Another scary film that had great performances, suspense, and great story. Parnormal Activity runs for 90 mintues, but its full of actual scare scenes. I don't reccomand it if you are not into scary movies, because this will scare you until the credit start rolling.
