Killing Jimmy Hoffa

Killing Jimmy Hoffa

Jimmy Hoffa was one of the most powerful men in America. In 1974 he disappeared, never been seen again: one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century.

Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance is one of the great crimes of the century. Despite a massive Federal investigation spanning 4 decades and hundreds of suspects| only the
general contours of the crime are known. In the American mythology Hoffa is both hero and villain; a self-made man who ran the nation's largest union and was so
beloved by the rank and file Teamsters he represented that they supported him as union president even as he served time in prison. Hoffa's name is synonymous with
corruption thanks to Bobby Kennedy's campaign against him| but the truth is much more complex. Hoffa's glory years coincided with the golden age of the Union
movement and the American economy; he also was enmeshed in the Machiavellian world of organized crime. "Killing Jimmy Hoffa" tells the whole story for the first
time| using exclusive interviews| never before seen news footage and photographs| and revealing the real story of the day he died. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Very relatable and powerful performance by Marion Cotillard. The best I've seen from her; clearly, I still have much to explore. She showed so much by doing so little and I was so tied to her character's struggles and emotions. I loved the long takes and the different nature of the conversations in the film. Each one kept me at the edge of my seat as I swung on the pendulum of highs and lows with the character. While the same convo essentially took place over and over again, the film had enough subtleties to distinguish them from each other. There were great character moments and superb performances all throughout the film. One of those movies where I just felt as if life was unfolding rather than being imitated and filmed. I loved the story of the film and found the ending to be just perfect.

Chris G (br) wrote: A gory and well crafted "You killed my blank, I will kill everything flick" that is made better by Michael Caine's involvement. The riot finale dragged a bit.

Ian W (nl) wrote: Another interesting film by Michael Moore about he tried to get everyone to vote in the 2004 election against George Bush. The film is rather interesting but I have no idea if it is true or not.I just find that Michael Moore makes a good documentary regardless of whether the information provided is completely accurate. It is still compelling to see what Michael Moore will do to get the truth.

Timothy H (nl) wrote: Well after a while it kinda grew on me it has a charm that alot of people that can fall in love with but it fails on some degree I can see that but most environment films I seen are not perfect and they don't have to be because there message is great but are society will probably never change because of technology and many human advancements but like many there are people who care and understand that we need to protect our home on this planet so I don't fault this movie it's like any other movie but again most people can't except the truth and demonized things like this but it's a good animated film that's all I can say about it.
