John S (au) wrote: Not much plot, but then again the laid-back pacing offers plenty of time to hang out with Adam and Eve, the world's coolest vampires. When a fellow vamp shows up, trouble ensues -- but mostly it's an excuse for more onscreen fun.

Peter P (gb) wrote: Nice middle aged romantic movie. Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson have great chemistry, although it is a little heart breaking at times, especially during the wedding reception, but overall it is a nice little date movie.

danny d (jp) wrote: this was a phenomenal film. total sleeper because i hadnt heard anything about it, i just rented it based on the cast, and it was better than expected. much better. one of the best films of this year so far, the entire cast really delivered. the film was written well and i loved gandolfini's narrative. salma heyak was top notch and the film was engaging but incredibly haunting and sad at the same time. worth a watch.

Joshua D (us) wrote: Verite exploration of racism and immigration in Buenos Aires during their economic crises in the early oughts. The film is working class down to its very form and scope. Beautifully simple and resonating with truthful performances, it manages to be charged and quiet all at the same time. And while it might break its tone with a few flourishes and reach for more of a plot than it really needs in its third act, it survives intact as a morally and aesthetically ambitious act of art.

Stephen S (ru) wrote: Not bad. This film is an exercise in human stupidity, but everything ends up working out pretty well in the end. Hobbes would totally love this movie lol.

Gregory M (fr) wrote: It was a really entertaining and fun movie. I am Pokemon trash this period in my life( in fact I never stopped being Pokemon Trash since I first discovered what Pokemon are) and this movie was quite woth watching. I liked the central plot and the central idea, I loved that we finally got to see these amazing legendary Pokemon, but I didn't like the whole "Chosen One" plot, cause I beleive it had a negative impact on the message of the movie. As I understand this is only an issue with the English dubbed version, as the Japanese original one is more concerned on the whole don't break the balance sotryline. Well a typical Pokemon movie!

Teresa D (jp) wrote: very sad... kinda depressing with all those kids dying and stuff. but anything with elijah and his beautiful blue eyes has to be a good movie!

David S (ca) wrote: Although the DVD was released in 2006, it's just a transfer of a 1996 VHS collection. It has low-quality footage and sound, and mentions nothing of horror films from the late 90s or early 00s. I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally a filler show from the badlands of basic cable. Besides this, the director seems to have had a bit of a love for classic horror in particular - there is a bit of an elitist slant towards the importance of, say, the first 5 versions of Frankenstein, and less importance placed in groundbreaking modern thrillers such as, say, Alien, just to pull an example out of the air. Probably the most interesting thing in this series is the archival footage that might be hard to find elsewhere. I don't think I found any of the commentary to be very enlightening, though Christopher Lee's rumbling voice and cynical quips were somewhat entertaining.

Sophista F (it) wrote: After so many years, I still cannot forget this movie. It left such a deep impression and intense sadness that brings out the flavour of the film.

Senor C (de) wrote: Ive been a fan of Bakshi's work since I saw Fritz the Cat and here (mixing live action and animation) he creates a very solid blaxploitation flix that stands well w/ others of the genre. Great voice work by Barry White & Scatman Crothers who also sings the theme song

Jayakrishnan R (ag) wrote: 82%Saw this on 28/7/15Al Pacino gives a stellar and committed performance in yet another film that is an immediate adaptation of real life story in 1973, which like the many other films of it's kind like All the President's Men lack a punch because of mainly flaws in screenplay and not being able to shed enough light into the fascinating events. Serpico has a lot of gripping scenes, much thanks to Pacino and Sidney Lumet, but on the whole it fails to deliver at points that are quintessential.

Evan B (br) wrote: I didn't know what this movie wanted to be and I don't think it knew either.
