Zachary C (es) wrote: I saw this movie a couple years ago and it still stands as a complete crap-fest. I think DC should sue everyone involved in this movie not because they stole the nickname of Batman's sidekick Robin but because they've ruined the name. This movie's plot is stupid, not confusing just stupid. Here's the plot: Kid's mom gets killed by a hijacker. Kid trains for hours on end, learns new languages for hell if I know and goes to the gym to train for being a super-hero that kills people. He goes out in a jacket and fights criminals for no reason. (Now the last sentence sounds contradicting since that's what superheroes do, but the scenes in which he fought bad guys made no sense and to me did not have anything to do with the plot whatsoever. In fact I guarantee that if you took out those scenes they would make the movie much more watchable.) Kid gets drunk goes home and accuses his father for being involved with his mom's death. And he kills his dad. Only to find out later that his dad didn't help in killing his mom. Even though this movie was really bad it did have good moments, one teacher of mine in a film class always said show and don't tell and they did just that in those moments, but those moments were not enough.
