Dad and youngest daughter battle dreadful words and cliches. Finally a 'B' quality, first year film school project. Don't let this writer and director near a film production every again.

Jeffrey L (us) wrote: So in this final Prophecy movie, which is a direct sequel to Prophecy 4, the girl with the Lexicon is now on the run again, not from demons this time though, but from Angels. Yes, those pesky Angels are back, and this time they're after the Lexicon she is protecting, so that they can find the name of the boy who will grow up to be the Anti-Christ so they can kill him, against God's orders. Oh, and they just might have to kill her in the process as well. However, she's being helped by an assassin-for-hire that wishes to make up for the bad he's done in his life.Still not as good as the original three movies, but at least I found this one better then the 4th movie. It has a faster-pace and much more action, and its actually similar to the original trilogy in tone, as it has this girl trying to survive being chased by pissed off Angels, the lead Angel is creepy (Played to perfection by Tony Todd this time), and much like Gabriel, he uses his Angel powers to bring someone back from a recent death to help. Lucifer also shows up to help the girl out once in awhile, so once again he's painted almost as the good guy, which this series is pretty good at between the first and 4th movies, and now this one. And obviously he's helping her out so the Angels don't get a hold of the Lexicon and find out the name of Lucifer's earthly son. However, unlike in the previous movie, there are times in this movie where Lucifer does show a more evil side and while in the previous movie he came across as a good guy, in this one he's portrayed more as a bad guy that's helping the good guys. I also liked how between some dialogue in this movie combined with dialog in the last movie, its heavily hinted that the main girl is actually a Nephilm (Part Angel-part Human), and that Simon (From the first and 4th movies) may be her real father. However, they don't actually explain that or go into any detail, which I didn't like, cause that should be a pretty big plot revelation but its glossed over in one line of dialog in each movie, and that's it. And despite this being the second movie in the series to feature the ever-hot Kari Whurer as the main girl, it still doesn't really do anything to add any characterization to her character at all. Also, this feels more of a movie that's made-up of a plot that was cut from the previous movie or something, as it's only an hour long (an hour and 10 minutes if you count the credits). And that's just a shame, cause I found this move so much more engaging then the previous one, I almost wish that had been the shorter movie and this one had been the longer one. There are also are parts of the movie where the characters speak in another language for a good 2 minutes or so, yet none of it is subtitled. And one finale complaint: The movie ends on a cliffhanger, making it seem like there's supposed to be a third movie in this on-going plot of the Lexicon and the girl that has it, except there never was another movie, nor was another movie ever planned. This was filmed back-to-back with the previous movie, and as far as I know, there had never been any plans for another movie, and I HATE when a movie ends on a cliffhanger like that, making it obvious that there's supposed to be another, yet that other movie is never made.Anyway, to sum up ?? nowhere near as good as the original three, but despite its flaws, its better then the previous one and actually pretty enjoyable due to the throwbacks to the original trilogy and the short runtime and fast pace, leaving no dull or slow moments anywhere in sight.
