Michael V (us) wrote: This isn't one of those guilty pleasures bad or a so bad it's good in a corny way. This is just plain bad which slapped 3D on to try to sell it to the public. Anybody who paid money to see this in the theatre is just plain retarded. But being a fan of underwater monster/shark movies I watched it. I have to admit I was intrigued with the fact that they used a whole bunch of different breeds of sharks. For these movies to work I think they need to have some humor thrown in to the mix, films such as the new Piranha know what they are and play with it but Shark Night just takes itself far too seriously and in the end it's just bad bad bad. Nobody on the acting end could save this. I usually enjoy Donal Logue too. This time he just bothered the shit out of me. The sharks look horrible. The sharks in Deep Blue Sea looked better and that was 12 years ago. And I'll go as far to say Jaws looked better and that was made back in the fucking 70's. Fuck this movie for existing and fuck this movie for robbing everybody who paid money to see it.

Cole R (fr) wrote: One of the greatest animated movies I have ever seen. Definitely one of the best made in the past 10 years. Becomes a liiiiiiiitle abstract towards the end, but overall this was an amazing movie. Solid plot with, what I imagine would be, the very best animation being done today.
Paul D (de) wrote: Ah man this movie was horrible... It reminded me of the home movies me & some friends made when we were kids, funny just cause of how bad it was, but other than that it was just stupid. Very slow moving & the two main guys were totally trying to copy the guys from half baked, but man it was so not working. I would highly recommend never watching this movie, ever...

Clark B (ag) wrote: Despite the cover this is not "Poison Ivy 5: Code Pink" it's one of those "quirky" "indie" movies. You can tell it's independent minded because there are a lot of weird camera angles and mismatched colors and good chunks of movie where nothing happens. During a bland dialog shot between two characters, the camera circles around them about thirty times, gradually picking up speed until finally the viewer is thrown into an end table from the centrifugal force. As always when watching these jittery Sundance darlings, safety is job one, wear a helmet. The next time they talk the camera stays put, thankfully, but this time one of the characters circles the other on roller skates about thirty times. That's indie art, baby! They're circling each other seductively, see? It's a metaphor. I picked that up all by myself. I'm like a perceptive hipster, eh? Jason Priestley shows up - he plays this good looking weird guy - but then he just disappears, his role pointless. Liz Phair, same thing. I didn't see Parker Posey, but this was 2002, surely she was in the mix somewhere. This is a halfhearted thriller about a music obsessive stalking an ugly duckling who - SPOILER ALERT - blossoms into a beautiful young swan by simply taking out her retainer and combing her hair. Who would have guessed that the smokin' hot Robin Tunney was hiding underneath that rats nest? No fair peeking at the cover art of Ms. Tunney licking a big pink lollipop, her butt staring you down. That butt wants you to rent this movie and what that butt wants, it gets. But this is a dumb formula movie that's trying to trick the Sundance suckers into thinking it's smart and edgy and it doesn't really have anything to do with butts or lollipops. I was tricked too.
