Kung Fu Mahjong

Chi Mo Sai (Yuen Wah) meets Wong (Roger Kwok) in Auntie Fei's (Yuen Qiu) cafe and learns that Wong has photographic memory. He decides to exploit this skill by teaching Wong how to play Mahjong, but Fei, Wong's boss, strongly objects to it. Despite Fei's objections, Wong learns Mahjong from compulsive gambler Chi Mo Sai. He impresses triad boss Tin Kau Ko (Wong Jing). Wong falls in love with Tin's mistress (Theresa Fu) and is beaten by Tin's men. Wong then becomes crazy. Luckily, Fei cured him using Mahjong. Fei wanted Wong to beat Tin in the "King of Mahjong" competition and be the King of Mahjong. The film ends with a climactic "King of Mahjong" Competition. It is the only film made in 2005 to boast of having a sequel made in 2005.

Kyle L (kr) wrote: The best Home Alone movie since the original Home Alone. Among all of the Home Alone sequels. This is the best in the series. When I finally get to watch Home Alone The Holiday Heist. I was like wow! Big Surprise! This movie was funnier than I thought. The plot of this film is simple. This movie is about a young boy name Finn Baxter who moves to a new house from California to Maine to their new house. Finn is afraid that his new home is haunted by an evil evil spirit. When Finn's parents leave and got stranded he and his sister Alexis are Home Alone. Finn sets up traps to catch the ghost but soon instead of catching the ghost he instead captures a couple of burglars who are attempting to rob the painting that is located in they're secret room and it's up to Finn and his sister to defend they're home from a group of thieves to prevent them from stealing the mysterious painting. I seriously had a good time watching this movie and to be honest this movie was so fun to watch and it was super funny. This movie seriously also has a lot of minor improvements over the fourth Home Alone film. Like Home Alone 4. Home Alone The Holiday Heist focus on a slightly different style and this is the only Home Alone film that stands on it's own because the previous films are true to they're selves and this is the second Home Alone film that doesn't focus on the McCallister family and the first film not to have a setting in Chicago. What's great about Home Alone The Holiday Heist is that the whole movie has a lot of funny humor and the entire film is so comedic and the movie itself focus on a completely different scale than it's previous predecessors. Everything in Home Alone The Holiday Heist has been slightly improved and the entire film is much more funnier on a higher scale. Like Home Alone 4. Part 5 focus on something much more new and the entire film is impressive for one reason. What's great about Home Alone 5 is that the whole movie has better traps. I love all of the traps in this movie. My personal favorite trap is the one where Jessica gets poured with tar after Finn traps her body in the window that was super funny. I also like the part when Jessica gets hit in the head with the Santa shoe that Finn placed with heavy wood and it's super funny to watch that scene so far. I also like the part when Finn also hit Jessica in the butt when the two guys try to pull her out of the window and it's super funny to watch that part in the film so far. I also like the garage trap where one of Sinclair's guys get hit with a lot of Christmas balls when the big mower started driving in the garage. The slippery floor trap was also funny as well and that is really similar to the original Home Alone film's trap where Kevin placed water on the floor and stairs of his house outside and I like watching all of the traps so far. Now the acting is impressive in this film. Christian Martyn did a good job playing the role of Finn Baxter and I'm hoping to see more of his future films. Jodelle Ferland did a good job with her role in the film and she was so gorgeous when I saw her role as Alexis Baxter and she looks super pretty not only her acting skills are great but she also looks beautiful and gorgeous as well while her role in Silent Hill was really creepy and scary here in Home Alone 5 she looks beautiful, stunning and gorgeous as well.. And the three bad guys did a good job with they're roles as well. Malcolm McDowell was impressive with his role as Sinclair even the two members of Sinclair were great so far. Director Peter Hewitt did a good job with his work with this film and I'm hoping to see more of his future works in the future so far. I did like his work in the film Zoom but Peter Hewitt's work on Home Alone 5 is a bit more better so far. Overall Home Alone The Holiday Heist gets a 10/10 because the whole movie has a lot of funny humor and it is a huge improvement over Home Alone 4 so far.

Only this time, it's presented quite differently in terms of animation style throughout the film. There are several stories for each character to tell, only there happens to be a different animation style with each story, which is definitely interesting. Only major complaint I have with this, is the ugly, poorly rendered 3D animation we get between each story that is being told. Which is unfortunate, for such good story telling there is to appreciate here. Especially if you yourself are a Dead Space fan.

Brian S (br) wrote: A very good and effective low budget found footage movie. In a way, this movie is sort of a rip-off of Paranormal Activity (2007). But it's pretty good. Unlike most found footage movies I've seen, this one doesn't actually have too many boring moments to it. The acting is good and the ghoul effects are just amazingly creepy. It's really as frightening as The Blair Witch Project, but except that this movie focuces more on gore and ghoulish appearances than the unseen. Recommended !!

Atheer O (us) wrote: The only reason for this rating is my interest in the subject but putting it to Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs movie this was just an amateur work. Very bad design was made by inserting comedy elements and covering unnecessary life portions. Overall I would recommend it only to people who are interested in the history of personal computers.

Patrick E (mx) wrote: For such a small country with no recognised film studio, Ireland has managed to produce quite a large number of excellent films. Unfortunately a number of these films fail to garner much attention outside of Ireland with one of these films being War of the Buttons. Perhaps it's the unique Irish humour or a lack of marketing but it's criminal that films of such quality are no known to a wider audience. Two groups of boys from neighbouring towns in rural Cork are at war with each other, they continually organise fights against one another with any captured boy having all of their buttons and laces cut off their clothes. This war eventually leads to conflict with the parents of the boys, particularly for the rival leaders of the groups, who face the potential of being sent away to a boy's home for causing so much trouble. First off the acting from the young cast is absolutely brilliant, you really feel that these boys are the best of friends and would do anything for each other, The script is very well written and provides plenty of laughs, particularly whenever little con is involved. It's very much a story of friendship as well as life in a small Irish town; the rival boys don't know why they are fighting, they just do it because there's nothing else to do! It's also a coming of age story as the boys learn about life from their various run ins with each other and from there protective teacher who seems to care more about his students than their parents. The ending is excellent and goes to show you that friendship can be found in the most unlikely of places.Perhaps the humour is a little too Irish for international viewers but it's a travesty that such a funny, entertaining and ultimately uplifting film has not been seen by more people. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
