Charlie G (ag) wrote: I see this one rated high but it seemed a lot of irrelevant skits pushed together to make a story. I don't know what everyone sees in it.
NaWie M (kr) wrote: A Friend recommended this Movie to me. According to her Review I was skeptical but, I was surprised. What I really liked about Long Time Dead, was, that there was no Chopping. Chopping is always a "part" of Horror and Occult Movies. But in the Long time Dead there was only the Element Fire a "center". The Victims got Burned. The Movie is fading away from the djinn Legends, but entertaining Movie. Recommendable for Occult Fans.
Leon E (fr) wrote: This lovable, quirky movie features early performances from Kate Hudson and Peter Sarsgaard. However, the stars of the film are Christina Ricci, Brendan Sexton III (Warren from Empire Records)... and an ice cream cone.
Marc R (ag) wrote: Well done early 90s film set in small town Texas with a under-commented upon side-story about Latino/Anglo relations. Solid soundtrack by Barry Adamson of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Frances H (jp) wrote: Okay as a kid's movie, and it has some pretty scenes of sunsets, etc., but if you compare it to how magically enchanting The Black Stallion worked for all age levels, this film comes across as having nothing for adults. Comparing it to real classics in a similar vein, like Treasure Island with Jackie Cooper and Wallace Beery, or Captain's Courageous with Spencer Tracey and Freddie Bartholomew, really shows up the weakness of this film. Disney did better many years ago with The Swiss Family Robinson. The whole gorilla thing is just ludicrous.

I watched this movie as a child, and I enjoyed the surreal experience as a child.Recently rewatched it on iTunes, and, although I didn't get into it as much as I used to, I'm also old enough to appreciate some of the more mature jokes. The songs "Bahia" and "The Three Caballeros" are definitely memorable, and I liked a retro look at Latin America. I know this is a 40s timepiece, but the "stereotypes" did not bother me that much. As a matter of fact, everyone looked pleased to be in this film. It does look more peaceful. The animation is very good, but it also ventures into one of the wackiest trips when the movie reaches the final 10 minutes, and never lets up until the black screen at the end of the film. This is one of the better package films from the 1940s, and the only one I remember, since it was the only one released on video intact in the 80s and early 90s. The others didn't come until the late 90s and 2000 with the Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection. My father enjoyed this, I enjoyed it, it brings a smile to my face. It's not the best classic in the Disney series, but a good retro classic nonetheless.
Jordan A (ag) wrote: I think this movie is alright it's stupid that Jason only in the movie 10min but it's still a good core movie. But the ending was the best part of the movie in my opinion

Kyle B (nl) wrote: Really dull and boring. I wish Geraldine Page had more scenes. Eric Roberts does a good job but the overall movie is a snore
