Jeffrey N (es) wrote: An epic failure of a movie that spends too much time on two moderately appealing characters and never expands on 4 other equally-as-interesting characters. Formulaic for about 95% of the movie, I spent most of my time wondering why it seemed so conceptually similar to When Harry Met Sally, yet was centered around babies. Then, with 10 crucial minutes left to wrap up a story that, if continuing with the formula, had a very predictable ending, yet if it strayed from the formula, it was going to happen very quickly and would ultimately ruin the movie. Somehow, this movie did both. This was a long hour and forty minutes. And the depth just wasn't there. On one hand, it seemed like Jon Hamm life partner, Jennifer Westfeldt, was constructing a sweet film about friends who fall in love, but then on the other, she reduced it to a very shallow and empty story. Such a waste of an incredible cast.

After a well-liked track star (laura) dies in a 30 second 100mt race- the rest of the track team start dying off gruesome deaths one by one- preyed on by a killer wearing a sweat suit and a fencing mask. ANything is the weapons the killer uses! javelin, sword, you name it! could it be laura's weird sister who came to accept the award on her behalf. or maybe the creepily mystical principal- maybe even laura's deranged boyfriend Kevin? Well watch and find out!

Brandon W (nl) wrote: I've heard bits and pieces about a sequel to Contracted, which I was confused about why they're making it considering about what happened at the end of the first film. I didn't know about when it was suppose to come out until my friend told me that it was on Netflix. Turns out the Contracted: Phase II was a needlessly sequel that really would've been fine if it was just one movie. The film is about Riley that got infected from Samantha in the first movie, and lies to the police about some of the information about a guy name BJ. The movie has some nice make-up and gore effects and some of the questions were somewhat answered. The acting is good and there were some funny moments out of it, and I was a bit interested to see where it was going, even if it's predictable. The story is mostly the same as the first movie, and it didn't necessarily answered more of the questions that I had with the first movie, whether they did answer it but was not addressed more, or was really not needed. The characters were really there to be either be chowed down, or be infected as I really didn't care about them. It doesn't have the mystery that made the original very interesting, and was more grossed out in this than the previous film. I didn't hate Contracted: Phase II, but I wanted more of it, and I barely got it which got me very disappointed.
